Crap; lot's of troubleshooting yesterday. When I clicked Hardware acceleration on again and rebooted I just got a black screen with a mousepointer. Unable to do anything with the computer. Googling it , and tried every option to get it back were pointles.

I was thinking to do a fresh install anyway, but I can not de-activate Blue iris now. ( Anyway to do this from the command prompt , since I can acces the HD via the command prompt). Last time with my older computer the HD crashed , so I think I didn't de-activate than as well. Although The computer is working including Blue iris , I can not do anything anymore. Any options How to de-activate? ( Also via teamviewer shows only a black screen).

An email was send to support as well , but not sure when they will respond, and I am only home a couple of more days.

Thanks,
Cor

I'm running win10 but followed techfuns direction and with those two combos of driver and bi version, I'm sitting back at 8%. Of course my issue was automatic updates but for you may be worth giving it a shot with 4664

Not a lot of luck .

Last week my system crashed , when I activated "hardware acceleration "again , after reboot , I just got a black screen with a mousepointer. All the solutions I found on the internet didn't help. So I started from scratch ( I also couldn't find the export settings from Bi :-s ... so completely from scratch. Windows 10 pro and BI.

-started with The latest Bi version (x.x.x.3) And also the latest graphic driver. , After several hours my CPU peaked at 98% which should be around 30% max.
-rolled back to the graphics driver 4664 ; exactly the same: CPU peaked at 90%.
-"Talking" to Ken , he suggested the following. Disable cameras. I have now disabled most of my cameras , and also rund a second try with other cameras. But initially stable at 15% , after 7-9 hours it goes up to 75%
-Next think I needed to check was to disable recording; no cameras are recording at the moment , just 10 out of 16 are displayed without recording.

Very frustrating this.........

When you rolled back your driver to 4664 did you uninstall current driver, reboot, install 4664? Not sure of it makes a difference but worked for me

Yep. did all that , including , uninstall reboot , etc....

Done with the troubleshooting.
-disabling recording also did not work , not on the 4664 driver , not on the latest drietr , and also not on the last BI version. CPU with the katest driver spikes , and RAM with the 4664 driver ..

pffffffff. I now wished I never bought that brand new expensive computer , CPU is even higer on this new one now.

It's the BI software that's at fault here, not the graphics driver, not anything else on the PC side. I'm just making do by minimizing the app since the CPU utilization is steady at 10% when idling. When an alert happens the entire family uses the BI app in their iPhones to check. Utilization only jumps up to 30% when this happens.

Have you done a clean install of Win10 by using the MS Media creator tool?
Have you excluded every folder related to BI from any Antivirus?

I also had the increasing CPU problem. Installing the 4664 graphics driver fixed the problem for me. But I had to install it a couple of times for it to take. I had to go back to the driver to check the version number to make sure. This is the procedure I followed.

CPU usage creeping up slowly

you are describing a completely different issue which is normal if you have multiple logins at the same time AND you are using limit decoding as you stated in your other threads...BI starts decoding every frame and you see a jump

I originally did not have limit decoding checked & when I did try it, only lessened CPU utilization by 10%. So right now I have it unchecked.

A bump in cpu usage when you have multiple clients connecting is normal...depending on how many users and your settings it can be small or large....regardless, it has nothing to do with the issue in this thread. If your cpu usage is high with the console open you are either logging in remotely or have something else going on...

Please read through my original post in this thread. Even at idle with nothing happening, no one accessing remotely, etc. once I maximize the BI window the CPU utilization jumps from 10% to 97% which never happened in the last 2 years when I had version 4.0 installed. I only updated within the last month because Push Notifications were no longer appearing on my family's iPhones. This is when CPU utilization went crazy!

No more troubleshooting:(...... nothing else to try.

I was in Contact with Ken, He asked me to troubleshoot the following:
-Hardware acceleration on/off
-Disable cameras , group of Cameras , and monitor if it has a difference.
-Disable Alerts ( I have none)
-disable recording
-disable ftp upload ( I have none)
-is there a change when traffic light is red.( always green on my system).

If have checked this all , with diffrent BI versions and different Grahic driver version , But all the same , with Graphic driver 4664 , the CPU spikes after 7-8 hours , with the latest intel graphics driver it is the RAM which spikes after several hours.

The last answer I revieved from Ken was:"Thanks I will continue to monitor my test systems and look for possible issue".

Can people please reply on this thread who have the same issue, and which what system they are running BI?
Please only this issue where or CPU , or RAM spikes after several hours , probably due to this memory leak.

-Intel I7-7700 , 16 GB dedicated for BI (but also running SABNZB / VLC player, for testing I had a full clean install without these 2 extra programms)
-Windows 10 pro , intel driver 15.45.18.4664 and also tried everything up to 15.60.0.4849 ( not sure if I tried 4877)
-14 Hikvision 3MP , 2 Dahua 4Mp @ 15 FPS, direct recording 24/7
-no FTP upload , no alerts.
-6 MAcro's for Temperature overlay

Thanks,
Cor

If the developer can't reproduce the issue then -- for all intents and purposes -- the issue doesn't exist.
