I've got a clip I want to convert for others to see, but the only conversion I can make is to .WMV which has really lousy quality.

Trying MP4 or AVI results in a clip with no video, just audio. I've fiddled a bit with the few options, but no go.

I'm using a Win7 PC using BI v4.6.2.1.

Any and all thoughts appreciated.

Most likely you don't have the right codecs installed on your system for playback of those formats. Try VLC media player to play the exported MP4/AVI because VLC has all that stuff built-in.

Is BVR a proprietary format to Blue Iris? I can't find anything else that will play BVR format, including VLC.

Spot on bp2008 ! Actually I didn't use VLC, but used a video editor program I have (Corel) and the MP4 played just fine. The "program" I used previously is the default windows video player, guess I won't be using that anymore. Kind of kicking myself for not asking here first as I spent a couple of hours trying to figure it out first.

Thanks so much for your expertise.

Edit to add the brief video clip:

Thanks Nanook. It's a Dahua 2MP Starlight (SD49225T-HN). It has been amazing thus far, so many virtues they're too long to list.

No other illuminators used. Maybe just the affect of the wind blowing the tree around a bit?
