CCTV Comparions

Hi Guys.
Quick question. Does anyone know if there is site where you can compare CCTV cameras from different manufactures next to each other? If you want to compare mobile phones you would go go GSMArena.com - mobile phone reviews, news, specifications and more... . If anyone would know of any site I would appreciate it.

Not as simple of a job as you'd think, or so I have been learning.

Each OEM / Brand uses different metrics - some even are out right deceptive to the point imho of being fraudulent.

Reviews are being manipulated on individual sites as well as Amazon - some astroturfing going on with some brands / products.

Members here have done a good job of sharing what they've learned with some products they've had a chance to test, and you can find some website which also attempt to do reviews of various products.

IPVM may have some good data behind their paywall

I have not seen such a site. The large portion of the market of CCTV and IP cams are almost exclusive to buisniesses, city and such. The admount of home owners who are interested is very small so thats probably why no-one has made such site that i know. You might find "smart" cam reviews but i would not recommend such devices to anyone who is looking for serius surveillance. The alternative is to come to sites like this and try to learn and ask questions about what could suite your needs.

I guess any such site would have to be a site such as this where the owner is well healed and inclined to purchase a large number of cameras for side by side comparison initially, then further cameras as ranges change with the ability to mount them in the same position as the previous cameras to get a comparable shot on the updated camera. I can't ever see a vendor doing this type of comparison, because if they did, they'd sell thousands of 1 model and be left with every other slightly inferior model on the shelf.
