Sweet! LTS is releasing an ONVIF compatible doorbell with SD card slot and 940nm IR

Can somebody help me with my wiring in order for this to work with this doorbell? I currently have 2 of these digital doorchimes (one for living room and one for basement) with one single doorbell. Below is the diagram from the manufacturer and it doesn't seem like a normal chime since it has a AC and VAC and 3 chime options. It says to not use batteries if I'm connecting directly but I've never got it to work like that normally with my standard door button without batteries. Now if I connect the smart doorbell, it rings the chimes constantly even with the provided resistor with the same wiring setup. I'm wondering if I can wire it differently so it won't keep ringing the doorbell constantly. 5504 is the first chime and 5505 is the second chime that's connected in parallel. Any help is appreciated.

you use blue iris without the mobile app? try it. it is well worth it..
It’s smooth playing. BI found it with a search. I set the password in the camera setup process and logged in with admin and my pw.
I just installed the BL demo and hooked up the Clare cam and selecting direct to disc, it didn't really find it other than it saw a rtsp port. So, I finally got to work by placing the full string with rtsp;//login:passwd@192.168.0.xxx:554/Streaming/Channels/101.

However, in the recordings, it skips frames for 1 to 3 seconds, so the video is real choppy. Watching live, it looks ok.

I've also tried XEOMA, but it would not automatically discover the doorbell and have to start the app using a -noscan option and manually enter in the cam. Recordings are slightly better than Zoneminder. May try XProtect Essentials next.

Disconnect the batteries and check the voltage on (from the top) screw terminal 2 and 3, should be 12v-24v. Also check the voltage at the door as well.

Anyone see any deal on this? Been meaning to get one to replace my front door security cam, as that one mounted at the top of the door frame seem to be too high and often won't capture the face of people in view

I got mine (branded RCA) for $96 shipped off eBay. Works great and no logo!
Have you tried it at night without lights to see if reflects IR and Is there an option to turn off IR? I'm thinking most if not all use the same firmware.

I have a streetlight in front of my house. No option to shutoff the IR that I know of.

Did you install the latest firmware seen floating around here and did the RCA unit accept the Hikvision FW okay like the LTS/Clare/Laview/Nelly variants?

Our Ring did this with the diode installed. Removed the diode and it functioned correctly.

Can you set this door bell to record all the time and save it on the sd card? Or will will it only record on motion or when the door bell is pressed?

Folks, I have been looking for a ip cam doorbell to work with my NVR / quality image/ acceptable aesthetics, for over 2 years now, doing research every 2 months or so. I felt the Doorbird was going to be it, then the price tag was announce along with the size of it kept me searching. I have been following this thread for some time and it appears with the latest firmware we have an decent looking doorbell with decent image quality(night RF is questionable but I have lighting) and an OK price tag. not to mention I get 24x7 on my NVR and don't have to pay the man(cloud service) I think it's time for me to make a purchase but now the questions are: Are there really any differences between the different branded HikVision camera or should I just be looking for best price? Anything new on the horizon in this space I should be waiting for?

I think best price and customer service is what you should aim for. I got mine from Nelly's Security for around 140 dollars and they've been top notch in customer service. I haven't fully installed mine yet due to a weird doorbell design (waiting for my diode to come in today) but from initial quality previews, it seems okay. The fisheye lens won't be as good as a traditional lens but it covers a greater angle though. I might maybe wait for the second generation if you're not in a rush.

Edit.. nevemind. I had blocked the camera from the web and that was my issue connecting to the server. The doorbell is working like it should now. id10t error.

Was yours a mechanical chime or digital? Mine is digital which might need the diode to provide constant power to the device.
Digital, will play three different chimes, Westminster being the longest.
Needed the diode to play correctly with the regular doorbell button.
When installing the Ring it would play continuously, but not the whole tune. Like someone was repeatedly pushing the button making it start over. The Ring even came with two extra diodes.
Removed the diode and it has worked correctly ever since.

We wanted a doorbell cam, but didn't like that you can't record locally. There was nothing else available. We picked up the Ring Pro for $190 and pay $30 a year for storage. Recordings are available for 60 days, but you can download any you want. Works pretty decent, takes about 15 seconds to answer someone after they push the button, but it starts recording before they ever get to the button. You do need a strong wifi.

End result, when you press the doorbell I no longer get an inbound “call” from the RCA app.
I have the Hikvision KB6003 and I started having issues tonight also. When I push the button, the red LED around the button flashes and the unit restarts. A few minutes later and it's rebooted. Live view and motion detection work fine, but doorbell/intercom use isn't working.

I would say yes since Nelly's is the exact same interface as Hikvision and RCA on the iPhone. Even the help menu on the Nelly's app uses "Hikvision" in the manual.

What is the correct method to backup the original firmware on any of these Hikvision video doorbell variants in case one might need to restore back for whatever reason? I've searched and found thread which looks to be applicable but not sure on steps to actually get into these units to backup firmware before applying any newer firmwares that will debrand them.

Yes, same firmware. I'm on the latest.
