Got a request coming up soon where a person wants to be able to access their cameras on a TV in their office. The issue is there are multiple NVRs in different buildings, so no ability to run cable directly to the TV.

I'm looking at miniPC type set ups to run iVMS. Obviously iVMS has some hardware requirements but I was curious to know if anybody has experience with using miniPCs or PC Sticks to plug into a tv? I'm figuring I'd just velcro it to the back of the TV and set up remote viewing software on their laptop so they can make adjustments.

Was curious if something like this would have enough power to handle iVMS?
https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Windows-Baytrail-T-Quad-core-1-33GHz/dp/B00X4O6GRK/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1516834652&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=mini+pc+stick&psc=1

I guess if it doesn't have enough juice to handle iVMS, I guess it's possible they could still use Internet Explorer to view the cameras. They'd just have to open up each NVR separately through IE?

Or does anybody have other suggestions?

How many cameras?
I am working with cheap small android tv boxes running ivms and/or tinycam as android apps and they can open multiple streams of different nvr units, all you need to consider is the overall bandwidth figures...

Me personally, I figure no reason to need more than 20-25 or so (all in sub-stream quality). If they are using iVMS, I would encourage them to create a Custom View page and only drag and drop the most important cameras they wanted to view from each of the 3 buildings.

I use an Apple TV to stream the RTSP feed from the NVR.

You need to use a 4th gen Apple TV which lets you install apps. I use “easy cctv”

I have a couple of nVidia Shields for my TV's - mainly to stream from my Plex Server, NetFlix, Amazon, etc. I don't have a NVR - I have 9 cameras with BlueIris, but on the Shield, I use the TinyCam Pro app and it works great. Now keep in mind, I use it mainly for watching a live video feed or I guess I could just pull up a browser and view Blue Iris that way - but I am very pleased with the Shield and Tiny Cam Pro.
