Any news of Hikvision 4K Turrets?

DS-2CD2385FWD-I It’s a 4K Hik turret.
Apparently very good daytime footage but like all non low level light cams, they aren’t great in the dark.
The DS-2CD2335FW-I is what I use for better night capture.

Do yourself a favour mate and switch to Tvi. You are wasting approx 60% of your $ using IP.

TVI is inferior to IP....Telling someone to install TVI on 2018 is malpractice. Stop with this nonsense....you dont even know what the OP's setup is...it would likely cost more to "switch to tvi"....TVI is acceptable to retrofit old installations and specifically when running new cable is cost prohibitive....its is not an optimal choice.

Not in my opinion. I only require a 1080p system Tvi is perfect for me. I would gain nothing from IP.
I understand why you promote IP as you need to keep the traffic up on this(your) site to attract advertising/revenue.

I have posted multiple times explaining the benefits of ip...not going to waste my time with you again...seems like you need to justify your purchase....
I would get even more traffic by promoting TVI not less. The vendors on this site sell BOTH CVI and TVI....so your dumbass false accusation has no basis....make another false accusation about this site or my integrity and you are gone....peddle your shit someplace else.
Only a fool would install TVI in a new install in 2018...

As to the original request... I recently purchased 3 x DS-2CD2385FWD-I, 1 x DS-2CD2185FWD-IS and a DS-7732NI-I4 NVR. I am also using BI, but bought the NVR because the load was getting too heavy for BI using the camera's primary streams. The camera's are listed as "ultra low light" models, and they do use the EXIR IR (which is excellent imo), I've found their low light capabilities to be above a normal camera but below a specialty camera.
I'm using the 2385's as perimeter cameras and the 2185 as a door camera (because it has audio), eventually I'll grab one of those super ptz IVS dome camera's to play with...but that's another story.
I can upload some vid's - but the three perimeter camera's I currently have installed are not placed in ideal locations for the kind of test you're looking for. When I place the two rear (backyard) camera's that will be a better test of night vision (open area).

I second the opinion on the 2335 for night capture. It is all a trade off. I guess you could mount a 4K and a low light side by side and switch between the two for day and night but since that isn’t practical you are better off picking specific cameras based upon the most urgent need at that particular location. For instance some of mine are more critical that they have the ability to produce a good picture in low light. The day light picture on the 2335 isn’t bad but it isn’t 4K either. Again it is a trade off but if you “need” low light you will be disappointed with 4K.

it says "ultra low light network turret camera" in red right under the product number. However, unlike the 2335 it doesn't say " Ultra-Low Light, 0.008 lux, DarkFighter Technology" in the bullets/description. What's the practical difference for low light?

I'd look for a LUX in the .008 range. I haven't seen a consumer-priced camera with more than 3MP that has a LUX in that range...

thanks. I have a decent amount of light in front (landscape lighting on dusk to dawn, as are front porch lights) so may go with a combo of both the 2335 and 2385 depending on location and amount of light.
8294400 pixels (8.29 million, 'mega') 3840x2160, the 3840 being the 4K, otherwise known as 'ultra-hd'.

My cameras are DS-2CDVT-FCM-S bullet type, 4K/8MP, 1/2.5" CMOS, 4mm, 95 diagonal, color 0.01 lux @(F1.2, AGC ON), and seem to do well in the dark. Mine were sold as 'ezviz CS-CV110 (A1-68R)(X)'.
However their motion detection likes to drop big chunks of recording (at 4K at least), and they don't scale the 4K down to 2K, rather they just crop a much narrower aspect of the sensor, so if you want the 95 degree FOV, you are stuck in 4K. I would not recommend them for that reason.
