Hello

I would like to build my first camera system. Does this look like a good start?
Or are there better combinations in this price range?
3x IPC-HDW5231R-Z
1x DH-NVR4104-P-4KS2
How big should the harddrive be, to have 2 weeks of recording with the 3 cameras?

Thx!

Hi Terie,

I have a 4TB HDD installed in my setup - I think that probably would come close to saving 2 weeks with 3x 1080p starlights, just in case you may want to try the next size up.

Also recommend getting the next step up on the NVR - get the 8 port version - should hopefully be only a small difference.

Excellent suggestion by @mat200 to get the 8-port model. Very little difference in price. For the HD, I would go with the biggest you can afford. Don't short cut on this, as upgrading later is quite a bit more cost. Another reason to go big and even maybe another level up in NVR model, is this model NVR only accomodates 1 hard drive.
