Yup, mine has increased 10% so I reverted back to build 4.0.0.23

What CPU are you using? I'm using an i7-2600 and haven't noticed anything, but if it was a small change I wouldn't necessarily have noticed (10% more I certainly would).

I did notice that rebuilding the Db takes considerably longer though (was literally 2 seconds before - now it's closer to 30 seconds), so you may be onto something.

The i7-2600 is certainly a more powerfull processor than the i7-860 so that may be some of the reason why it's more noticeable for you. It could also be because of the AES and AVX instructions in the 2600 - but I seriously doubt that.

I'd say the same for you @Chust. Maybe something to do with the Intel built in graphics - duno. Of course if my CPU went up 3% or 4% I wouldn't have noticed.

No disagreement here, and I'm sure your correct in your observations, it's just not that big an increase on my system.

I too have confidence in Ken, he certainly will get it fixed.

I am on 4.0.1.1 and my cpu went from 45-55% to 65-75% with the last updates. I am on an i7 3770k with 16GB ram and a GTX550 Ti graphics card.

I noticed the update to 4.0.1.1 after I had rebooted my PC with BI4 on it this morning for a Windows update. Looking right now from the BI app on Android it's showing 62% CPU usage. But I also know that this usage listed does not reflect the number of cores in use. Most of the time my PC is only using one out of the four cores. BI4 and the app only shows the CPU %, not the number of cores in use. It could be 65% with one core, two cores, three cores, or four cores. I run the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility program in the background that shows me the cores in use. As well as memory, CPU temps etc. And the recent averages of each one it keeps track of.

Has anyone seen their CPU go back down to normal after the v4.0.1.1 update?

My CPU is unchanged (of course I didn't notice an increase on the last one), however, the BI Db was taking like 30 seconds to build on v4.0.1.0 and is now back to the 2 seconds it always was.

Mine looks elevated too, about 10% as everyone else says. Has anyone reported this to Ken?
