Update 4.0.1.4 looping

Each time I start the dashboard, I get the prompt to update to 4.0.1.4. I hit ok, it re-downloads, closes, updates, and then upon re-opening, I get the same prompt to update again.

I'd been having problems with the updates not working as they should for the last few rounds. BI would close, and the "updating" window would pause, the "not responding", and eventually, it would time out saying something like "c:\programfiles\blueiris.exe (32) cannot be updated because it is in use" - or something like that. I don't have the 32-bit version installed, so I assume the (32) is just an error code and not the bit-version.

Either way, it has happened the last few updates, so I exported all of my settings, uninstalled, rebooted, resintalled, rebooted, and upon opening the empty BI, I get this same update loop again.

Am I the only one?

Ive had this in BI3 often, thats another reason to manually update via the website..

Ok, I'll give that a go. I was just hoping for once it wasn't just ME. Feeling like I'm being picked on.

I just tested it...its not working..it updates but still shows .3

No go. Same issue. When I run the update64.exe, it completes the update process - but when I open the dashboard, I get the same prompt again. Hopefully it's just an oversight on Ken's part, and he just forgot to clear the update flag.

Dang, I shoulda come here first. There goes an hour of my time I'll never get back. As usual fenderman - thanks for the prompt confirmation.

It appears he forgot to update the proper executable version on the website.
