Hikvision 5.5.0 not sending PIR/Motion alarms to BI?

I have been trying to get Blue Iris to trigger a recording from my 4MP Hikvision cube camera, but no matter what I do, it wont work. On the 2MP Hikvision cube camera I have, I am able to get everything working fine within BI.

The main difference between the two is that the 4MP Cube came directly with 5.5.0, and the 2MP is current running at 5.4.5. I know there have been problems with version 5.5.0, but I didn't read anything yet on the alarm output changes, and it not working with BI.

I am using BI 4.6.9.3.

Figured I would let everybody know what I have learned. I suspected there was something weird with 5.5.0 and my camera (possibly any of the R6's, but I can't say since I only have a 2CD2442FWD) and sending alarm outs to BI via motion detection and PIR. I was able to re-flash the camera with 5.4.5 (see other threads) and after I setup the camera, enabled the PIR/Motion detection, and properly set it up in BI, everything works as it should.

Hopefully this helps somebody else out there with 5.5.0 and can't figure out why PIR isn't working in BI. (I do have another of the same cameras coming, and if it has 5.5.0 I will verify if it also has the problem.)

Very interesting. Are you recording via blue Iris? I know the PIR was working as I could turn on the alarm sound and it would go off when there was detection . The problem I was having seemed to be blue iris not getting the alert from the camera and start recording. As soon as I downgraded to 5.4.5 it worked .I never tested recording to an SD card or a different nvr solution .

Same exact problem. The PIR alarm will sound, when configured on the 2CD2442FWD, version 5.5.0 build 170725, but no information sent to Blue Iris. I record all my cameras continuously to BI. The other HIKVision cameras at a lower version number and lower resolution do not have the problem. I have tried recording at h.264 and H.264+ on the 2CD2442FWD and both recording formats have the same problem. I received the camera at version 5.5.0 so I do not want to down grade as I am afraid that i will brick it.

I understand the concern about bricking the camera . You could open a ticket with blue iris support to see if they are aware if this .I wanted to downgrade the software as my other cameras were at 5.4.5 . The process was pretty smooth once I figured out the correct IP the tftp server needed to listen too. There is another thread dealing with downgrading to 5.4.5 if you decide to do it.

I just had to downgrade my 2CD2442FWD for this same reason. My 2CD2035FWD running 5.5.0 170725 gave me problems as well, until I had BI set it with the Find/Inspect button, and selected the "Get events with PullPointSubscription". Not ideal, but it's working for now. The downgrade to the 2CD2442FWD cube is pretty quick.
