Hello all :)

I would like to view the recorded files from my Hikvision cam on a smartphone, mobile connection with low bandwidth.

My setup:
Synology NVR1218 - POE - Hikvision 2CD2142 camera.
I created 2 streams. One stream where the NAS is recording and storing.
The substream is of low quality.
The camera itself is storing the substream videos videos on its sd card, the NAS is storing the full quality videos.

I can see the camera in DS CAM, I can watch the full quality videos there.
I struggle to watch the low quality videos on my smartphone.

I created a Hik-Connect account, added the cam, created port forwarding. The Hikvision apps all seem to be quite bad, it takes long to load, then I get an error, not playing the video.

Could you help me getting the low quality videos onto my smartphone?
I would like to have it like Netgear Arlo, this works fine, but is not mature enough.

Are there other apps for IP Cameras, where a secure connection is made and the videos on the sd card itself are played?

Selecting fluent won’t get him what he wants. He’s asking about playback. This topic has been discussed before. I don’t think there’s a way to specify the playback source.
