Ok guys,
I bought the Dahua SD1A203T-GN-W off of @EMPIRETECANDY

I know there will be alot of WIFI camera nasayers..

I have to be honest this camera is pretty awesome.. I had some difficulty connecting wirelessly at first but only because I didn't understand which router security setting was most compatible with this wifi model. I'll explain which setting to use..

So you need to set your router to:
Wpa2-psk-aes

I'm still adding footage and will continue to do so, keep checking back for updates.

So here is my take on the Camera:
•Resolution is outstanding
•Pan and Tilt speed is adjustable
•Zoom is surprisingly good when digital zoom is activated
•Microphone is really strong, have it turned down to about 40% and it's still loud
•Durability is great, metal base, well built.. Temp was 25° last night and no issues.. I know thats not that cold but best I can test right now.
•Mount was easy to install

STAY TUNED FOR MORE VIDEO FOOTAGE AND PICTURES THIS WEEKEND

*Added some pictures of the actual camera and its mounting.. It's temporarily mounted in an old bookshelf only about 2.5 ft off the ground for testing purposes.

Andy is awesome for those that don't know. Great customer service and support

@Cameraguy - How far away from you WiFi AP/Router is the camera? And is it going through more than 1 wall?

Thanks.
Its only about 40 ft but thru one cinder block wall.. signal strength is 92%. I will try moving it further away from the router and get back to you

Oh, one more thing. What was the cost, please?

Guys,
I just thought of another thing.. Once you setup the camera wirelessly make sure you find the cameras mac address and reserve the ip on you router . Will save you from having to keep adjusting the ip address.

Any IOT/Camera on a home network should use a reserved IP, especially cameras. It makes it much easier to identify a specific device, should the need arise. It's just good practice to do this.
Any device on my network is using a reserved IP.

My network has over 24 camera's, as my home has a network bridge connecting my shop, and another network bridge connecting my brother's house. We are sharing a broadband connection sourced from my house.. Managing all these devices became pretty confusing- my solution was to change the on-screen "ip-cam" overlay, to cam--, and I insert the last digits of the camera ip address after "cam". This way I can bring up my camera matrix and easily find the address of the camera I need to make adjustments to, without having to bring up the nvr device management screen to figure out which address I had assigned. Big time saver!

Hi all. this is my first post.
I have been enjoying and learning for the past few months. While looking searching, I cam across what seems to be the same camera.
Has anyone looked at this https://www.amazon.com/Dahua-SD12200T-GN-W-Starlight-Network-OEM/dp/B077QTT87H/ref=sr_1_18?ie=UTF8&qid=1524403358&sr=8-18&keywords=dahua+ip+camera+starlight

The numbers don't match up but look as if it has the same specifications.
The sd1a203t-gn-w has IR , no POE
As far as wifi the camera is great, no signal loss and range is very good.. @fenderman knows his stuff. But if wifi is absolutely necessary this camera wont disappoint.

Thanks guys, at this point wifi is my only options "$$$". I do have 9 cams running through BI and don't have any issues. I spent a ton of time learning my router settings to secure my system. Keeping my family safe is my number one concern. I work in public safety (law enforcement) and I need to know they are safe; this is the best I can do for now. You guys are the best.
Thanks...

Yes, I need this as I cannot run wires in this specific area and this would be perfect. Afraid of setting up the wifi router settings with this. Is it difficult to get alerts on your phone with this?
