Do you know how to turn of the blue ring?
Yes! It can only be done direct thru camera's gui using the ip address. No option thru gdmss or Lechange.. There are many settings here that can't be reached thru the app, such as audio adjustments and vertical image flip.

I had to shut off all the ring lights for a hidden camera Christmas eve. It was fun watching how many of the kids were sneaking in for peeks all night..

Just ordered the A46 through Andy, hoping it works in Blue Iris Like the A35 does and allows config through 192.168.1.108 like the A35 does

Web GUI have been disabled, you will need to use LeChange app to configure it

Oh No!

I would not have ordered if I knew that was the case.

I guess the A35 version was the last one to use the web page

Does it work in Blue Iris?

I'm confused, so this camera has its own GUI like all other Dahuas?

The firmware that my A46 came with did not have a webpage. If you tried to access it, you get a 404 error. Using the Find/Inspect button in Blue Iris, BI was able to add it and record from it. I didn't get pan/tilt to work through BI, but I didn't spend more than 5 minutes trying as this camera was going to be a gift for someone else (who would use the Lechange app to view/move it).

I haven't purchased one yet, but find that hard to believe they don't have a setup page. Lechange has very few settings or adjustments available in that app. Did you use the dahua ip search tool to see if it was assigned a different ip address?

You can use iDMSS or the computer version (name escapes me at the moment) to configure the settings that the Lechange app doesn’t have options for, but the web UI doesn’t exist (as Andy had commented). I did check for additional IPs but didn’t find any.

I have the ipc-a35, and c35's. I haven't got my hands on the A46 yet.

Oh, ok Kevin, I have three A35's love them ! I ordered an A46 which will be here Monday but it goes right back since it doesn't allow web configuration via 192.168.1.108

Well that's kinda how I feel about it if that's right. I agree with you- love the A35 and the C35.. Both great camera's. I can't imagine why they would delete the ability to log into the camera on the A46, as settings in lechange are far too basic.

Lechange is far too intrusive as an app besides the lack of detailed configuration. I installed it and deleted it once it wanted me to scan my device or enter the serial number. What the heck do they need that for besides all the permissions, like why monitor who I call to config a lousy video camera? If that's where Dahua is going with their config method, I'll be looking at Hikivision instead.

Kevin from what I understand the A46 is deemed a consumer camera and the average end user knows very little about 192.168.1.108

Dahua is making it just easier to manage and setup.
The non consumer versions I feel will stay with their internal webpages accessible.
I have 24 dahuas ranging from 2mp to 8mp, mini dome, full speed dome. All have setup pages that are indispensable.

Just sorry I have to ship back to China on Monday when I receive it, useless for me. Will order some more a35s from the vendor (Andy)

I have two recording to nvr, as well as to sd card.

I was looking at these a while back. I think I mentioned getting one to test out. If these are wireless how do they connect to the NVR?

Wired or wireless, as long as they're connected to the same network and properly configured on your nvr, it will be recorded the same as a wired device.
