Does anybody else have low quality image when the sun is shining directly at the camera? See below for two separate camera angles at the same time of day.

Sure. If the sun hits it right, I have a couple of cameras that exhibit that for a short time. Not sure there's much that can be done..

That looks a lot nicer than the bit of bent plastic I was going to use.

I have one cam that does this for about 3 weeks in the winter, when the sun is at it's lowest.

Thus imho why you want 2 cameras with difference angles to the sun covering the most critical locations, such as the approach to your front door.
( working well for me, as each camera I have facing the sun will experience glare at different times )
