Is H.265 supported in Milestone XProtect Essential?

Hi Guys, my google foo has failed me...so hopefully someone knows.

I have a cam that supports H265 (HIKVision DS-2CD3345) but milestone only shows H264 as available?

Anyone know if it is supported yet?

it's not supported by any version... and judging by the last IPVM report on it it's not even worth worrying about at this point

H.265 is only supported in the current 2016 R3 Expert and Corporate releases. H.265 is not supported in Essentials, Express or Professional just yet.

I see this post was some time ago but thought I would add my 5 cents worth.

hello,
sorry to revive an old topic, but according to this comparison chart, H.265 is supported now in the Essential+ version of Xprotect :

the support is disabled in the Express and Professional versions...strange...
