@Dodutils Did I get this right, with the hack you mentioned, one could get the Xiaomi cam working with blue iris?
Yes full RTSP and you can set resolution/compression as you want, I actually use it with Contacam and NetcamStudio so I see no reason it may not work with Blue Iris unless you cannot define "custom" RTSP camera as Xiaomi will not be part of pre-defined list.

Sorry for bumping old thread...

@Dodutils Do you remember if digoo camera had pads or place to solder power connector?
Edit: I would rather solder female barrel connector than reply or micro-usb. I know I can solder to micro-usb pads, but previous experience with soldering those is not great heh

I was hoping that there are bigger pads or via holes to solder +5 and GND to, and not just the pads that are used for micro-USB connector. I have soldered wires to micro usb connector pads before but not always was successful. Therefore, having bigger pads or separate via holes to solder connector would be easier.
The reason for soldering connector is that camera fit's specs and price requirements for project very well, there is just a pretty high chance that usb connector can be damaged fairly quickly in my specific application. Having female barrel pigtail soldered to power pads would let me route that cable from the backside where it won't be damaged or accessed easily.

Judging by pictures I found online there are no extra pads or via holes to solder power to.

whenever soldering is thin what you need is to make the pigtail steady so it cannot move so you'll have to make a hole and glue it
