Hi, new here, but got a feeling I will be requiring assistance for the forseeable so will be sticking around :)

I have an issue regarding a few new cameras that I have purchased in that they have came with 5.2.8 labels and apparent 5.2.0 flashed to them, in short they would not work.
After chatting with a member on here they advised flashing with 5.2.5. this has kind of gone to plan, the camera is now viewable via 192.0.0.64 in browser, but when I try to used IVMS or SADP it will not see the camera, I understand that this will probably be to do with Hikvisions recent modifications with Chinese region cameras not being viewable using IVMS.

The question is, how do I go about modifiying the network parameters?

thanks

Was sadp ever working? it could be a bad install..are you using windows 8? if winpcap is not installed properly, the sadp app will display but not find anything. You can temporarily change your pc's ipv4 address to 192.0.0.1, connect the cam directly to the pc, or both pc and camera to a poe switch with nothing else attached and you will have access to the camera...

Hi, yes sadp was working with 5.2.0, 5.2.3 cams running 5.2.0 firmware, and also 5.2.5 firmware. It appears as if the issue lies with the 5.2.8.

Yes the iVMS issue is likely due to regional restrictions.

You could use my region change solution or use Chinese iVMS (which I assume exists somewhere).

I'd still expect SADP to work though as I wasn't aware that had any regional restrictions. What version of SADP are you using?

I'm curious to understand the difference between Hik firmares.
Not related to language or geographical distribution zones but more about the internal changes and improvements.

If I'm not wrong 5.2.0 to 5.2.3 improved 3 minor things (3 digit as minor release)
5.2.3 to 5.2.5 (only 2 minor things/ 2 digit more)
5.2.5 to 5.2.8 (3 minor things / 3 digit more)

And between 5.2.0 and 5.2.8, we can understand 8 minor changes on it.

So we can conclude, these are minor releases adding new improvements or correcting some bugs or disable some options.
But as there are not too much release notes about, very difficult to know and check exactly what the last improvements. specially if it was on code and not on Web interface settings

Does some one experiment yet with 5.2.8 ?

Standard 5.2.8 doesn't have French by the way so that might conclude your interest in it :)

Does anyone have 5.2.5 or 5.2.8 for the DS-2CD6412FWD-30 by any chance? Or has a download link?

I just recieved a 2332i with 5.2.8 and it dont work as it should. I live in Australia, camera purchased from a supplier in China through aliexpress.

the problem is, the camera shuts down after 4 to 5 minutes, 30 seconds to a minute later it starts up, only to repeat the shutdown cycle over and over again.

Do you think if I downgrade the firmware it will rectify my issue with the rebooting camera?

If so which firmware should I downgrade to? and how do I do that?

The 5.2.5 on this forum should work.

Don't go earlier than 5.2.5

It was an issue with my SADP, using the add camera via Ivms-4200 it is now working.

I can confirm that I have tested v5.2.5 on 2 of my cameras which came labled as 5.2.8 and they appear to be working ok apart from the chinese language. Some of the ones that I received are working on 5.2.0 with multi, have tried flashing the non working ones with 5.2.0 but just keep rebooting.

So just received my 2 cams labelled and FW 2.5.8.
For me FW it's really crappy ( or I'm totally wrong and I really need some vacations :)

As you can see, the cam reboots automatikely every xxx minutes 'black holes are the missed recordings due to disconnections and reboot times':

And of course the warnings related to that:

I Used a third party VMS who is really accurate and doesn't take care about languages versions.
From my point of view, DO NOT USE v 5.2.8 as delivered from CHINA: will not work.
Go to v 5.2.5 who is fine
Doesn't work or I missed something ???
Request reflexions :)
" Sorry for my English, it's not my native language:cool:

I just gone through the exact same issue as you today, Downgrade to 5.2.5 nothing less and your problems gone. However you will end up with Chinese web interface.
