@looney2ns, would you mind taking a pic of the camera mounted on your porch. I'm seriously considering swapping out my 5231 on my porch. This seems smaller, and I was never crazy about using corridor mode for the full view of the porch. I like the option of setting presets to watch when/if packages are dropped off.

@darrenph1, that’s what I’m using it for. My porch is L-shaped and the camera is ~20ft from the door. With the digital zoom enabled, it’s crazy how close to the packages it can get! With my porch layout and camera position, I do get a lot of IR bounce back with this camera. I run it with IR off.

Sure, probably won't be today, but I'll do it. You wanting to see the cam it's self, or the view from it? Here is what I'm currently using at my front door, 3.6mm lens.

No, I can't see packages at the door, I'm just looking for faces.
You can see the cam in question in action in the post @aristobrat made about it.

Yes, the cam can format. The last card I bought for a cam was plug n play. No formatting needed. That was a Sandisk Ultra.
So i put an old sd card in the sd1a203t-gn-w, went into settings and had the camera format the card.. the camera rebooted and card works great.

Sorry, my coffee finally kicked in, here it is. Ignore the work in progress mess.

5231- External IR Help. Check from post #11 to the end of thread.

I uploaded two pics of how I have this camera mounted on my porch. It goes against just about every "best practice" (which is most of the reason whey I can't run IR on this mini-dome), but I wanted the camera as "not visible" from the street/approach as possible.

After looking through all the available mount options, I noticed this mount hasn't been disclosed yet,
PFB-SD1A203T

Its very similar to the
Dahua PFB203W and PFB204W

I find it better than the PFB305W in terms of neatness and integrated design

Any idea when it will be available or if anyone has already come across it?

Shows as compatible with the SD1A203T-GN even though Dahua hasn't included this as an accessory option though on their website

Does anyone have a good run down of the differences in the various PFB20xW versions?

I've bought several (couldn't tell you which specifically offhand other than I know that 2 were older PFB200W) and the only difference that I could see is that they have a somewhat different hole pattern. I do like them. Easy to install with the separate mounting plate and look clean. Having to grind out a notch for the cable if it's exiting the housing isn't as convenient as it could be.
