Mounting it on the PFA151 corner bracket is an option with the seal against the bracket, but the extra holes in the bracket will still be open. How did you guys weatherproof the cable bundle (alarm, dc socket, audio cables) to prevent it from getting wet or condensed? I was thinking about putting the cable inside a waterproof electrical housing, and put it right next to the camera. But the whole cable does obviously not fit thru a cable gland that will compress the round rubber seal small enough to get tight around the smallest part of the cable.

Maybe you could post any pictures of your solutions. This would be nice.

EDIT: I have maybe found the solution for the junctionbox. A split gland :D

Not sure exactly what seal you are referring to, but purchase the appropriate Dahua junction box, mount junction box to brick, then cam to junction box.

This cam seems weatherproof based on how the wires run from the cam. Is that correct? can the wires safely be pushed into the mounting arm after install or is a junction box still recommended?

From the looks of it, this junction box would still be recommended (PFA120), @EMPIRETECANDY

Yes, if mounted on a flat surface there's a nice rubber gasket on the back of the mounting arm, so you wouldn't need the junction box.

Hey guys,

Got a problem here. I've done a factory reset on my SD49225T-HN, all went well, and my NVR (Dahua 4108-8P) found the camera. Then i tried to login on the camera via the web-gui, typed in admin as the user and none of the standard passwords will work, neither my personal password i had before. As i did the factory reset, it would have gone back to a default password, but i cannot get in anymore.
  • Username: admin Password: admin (failed)
  • Username: 888888 Password: 888888 (failed)
  • Username: 666666 Password: 666666 (failed)
  • Username: default Password: default (failed)
  • Personal user and pass (failed)
What is going on here?

Nope, tried that also :D

But the problem has been solved. I did a hard reset with the reset button on the camera. I was not near the camera as this happened, so today i had the chance to do the hardware reset.

Thanks for the help anyways. I also found out, that this camera has a heater pad installed around the fan. I took a picture of it.

I was referring to the seal that goes on the backside of the wall bracket. But i will go for the Dahua junction box, so that i can mount it together with the corner mount for a clean install. :D

I was not aware that bracket comes with a gasket, good to know. ;)

already have a 49225 and love it...if i was gonna get another PTZ that's one or two steps up from this, what would you guys recommend?? probably one with starlight and auto-tracking would be cool

I'm really looking at getting one of these. I just have to figure out where to mount it. If I mount it at the end of my house I have a gutter that is kind of in the way. If I mount it at the end of my house I lose sight of some of the street. Is there any place on here that shows different mounting options. I did see the mount it comes with but I may need one that mounts to a soffit or a pole that is up higher at my peak. I just want this cam but need to figure out my best option. If I sent some pictures does anyone think they would be able to help me with placement? Thanks.
