Override motion zone doesn't work

Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but I'm trying to set a different motion detection area for a different PTZ preset but BI won't recognise it and keeps detecting motion according to the main motion detection zone. I've ticked 'Override motion zones' for the PTZ and have edited a zone, but no luck. Any ideas?

I use the "Override motion zones" settings. I have found a way to see if it is actually working for you. On the camera setup page trigger/motion sensor select "Black-out masked areas". Then move the camera using the presets, and you can see the black-out area change with the new preset.

Very interesting, will give it a try later. Thanks!

Chris, did you find a solution? I have the same problem. "Black-out masked areas" uses the global mask.

Wootapa. Are you playing back a recorded video and using test run video through motion detector. If so BI will use the global mask because the saved video does not save the preset setting.

I've noticed that to, but no, this is on the live view with "Black-out masked areas" selected even though I've overridden zones in PTZ presets. However, the real issue is that BI just seems to ignore zones in PTZ presets altogether. At the moment I have to use a single preset and use the global zones...which is kind of pointless with a PTZ. I should say that i'm new to BI, so I can't say has worked before. Still...maybe i'm missing something here.

I seem to be having the same issue. Ticked 'Override motion zones' for one of the presents, and then move to that present, however it seems to ignore that, and just uses the standard marked area I have set up.

To also add, I just did the "Black-out masked areas", and yes, on my main pre-set it shows what I expect, and if I select the other pre-set it does show a different marked blacked out area, but it doesn't seem to apply (i.e movement in the original area triggers the camera).

Anyone ever find a solution for this. Something I want to use, and seems crucial for PTZ detection.

There does seem to be a bug here, if you change PTZ presets and then return to the original one it seems to forget which blacked out area to use. Really annoying.

I think i found the problem, in my case when ever you call the preset again, the motion triangles disappear so afterwards i unchecked "suspend motion detection' and put the resume shedule after inactivity to 0 and called the preset again for the last time, now it works
