Hi Alan,
Hi Alan,The cat6 is about $100 more.
mat200 what else do you use it for?
cat6 is not 100 more than cat 5 unless your cat 5 is free. The cat6 is about $100 more.

Yep. If it doesn't move, wire it. Not only does this make the device itself more reliable, it preserves bandwidth for devices that must be wireless. Every good wireless network begins with a wired network.Hi Alan,
Media Center area... 3 drops to that location, plus a few random ethernet drops around the home
( note - there are a lot of options once you look at WiFi access points, voice, and other internet connected devices which are not mobile. Ideally have only mobile devices using WiFi )
Not sure what you mean herecat6 is not 100 more than cat 5 unless your cat 5 is free.
Is this solid copper? I was quoted much more and didn't fancy that price tag. Thanks looney.
Yes, as indicated by "pure bare copper wire". I've used almost an entire box of the Cat6 listed for gigabit Ethernet and POE cameras. It is good cable. Is this solid copper? I was quoted much more and didn't fancy that price tag. Thanks looney.

Hi Alan,mat
That's a good point - I'll double check.
By the way, does anyone know if it works to mix and match different wired camera brands?
