I’m setting up 9 x IPC-HDW5231R-ZE cams. I’ve found the power zoom to be really useful in tweaking the framing of my cameras.

Once set, is there a way to turn off the zoom, so it doesn’t get changed?

Thanks!

Dont think so, but some of us using the Z5 and Z12 models for LPR would sure love to see that feature

Hopefully firmware will add it. It is bad as the IVS rules don’t zoom with it.

What is LPR?

I would just like to be able to get rid of the zoom ability when touching the picture but still be able to use the PTZ buttons to zoom, since I find myself accidentally zooming when I'm trying to switch cameras by swiping sometimes.

You mean the ability to disable autofocus. I agree as long as I would be able to specify 2 different focus positions day vs night

Not sure if you are using an NVR or not, but maybe you could make 2 different users in your NVR software, one with the ability/permissions to do so and another without? That way you could prevent yourself (and others) from changing it! If you are using the native app, I don't know of a way either.
Thanks. I looked at my Nvr and didn’t see a way to set this up. Will dig more.
