I've just received my 7 cameras with 5 being 2732 domes. I've so far been unable to see any of the 2 I've tried to connect to either by changing to the same IP range as the default IP address and even scanning with SADP. I've contacted Julia but thought I might ask around in case anyone else has had this problem.

thanks in advance.

Connect it one by one and immediately change IP.

You mean by crossover cable? I've already tried that using a POE injector and still nothing.

If SADP doesn't see the cameras, try installing the latest version of Winpcap - http://www.winpcap.org

It's the Chinese New Year so you may not get a response from Julia.

No, I think, that you connect one cam and change IP to this cam. And another again, etc. I think, that if you connect all, it's IP conflict.

If you have CCCH in serial number, that don't care with firmware version on box :)

OP, S474N is correct. I made the same mistake when I first got my cams from Julia and sadp refused to recognize 2 cams at the same time. Then I remembered they all come with the same default IP address that results to ip conflict if two got connected at the same time. It's also best to use a router as dhcp server in between the pc and camera for painless recognition.

I have connected 2 of the 5 2732 domes I got from them. I have a 192.168.1. internal network. I plugged one in, found it using the iVMS-4200 software, connected and changed the IP address using that. All good.

Hi allI'll try upgrading winpcap and see if that makes a difference.I'm only connecting 1 camera at a time so it can't be an IP conflict issue.

If the box label has 5.2.8 on it, and they have been reflashed, it might not have been done correctly, I have had the same issue with quite a few cams from china lately. Is the ir leds constantly on, or does it appear to reboot frequently?

wincap is already v4.1.3 so might be that.

Hi jordanb

here's a constant lit red led on above the IR led ring and another green led further back that you can see the glow from. Both cams doing that.

You shouldn't need crossover cable or any winpcap updates.
I received 2 cams from this seller and they both had static IPs on the 192.168.1.x subnet.
Set your computer to that subnet and run a scanner like FastResolver to find the cam. Or SADP, but I've never used it.

Just an update, I still wasn't getting anywhere so decided to reset one of the cameras after finding the procedure on here. I am now able to ping and connect to the camera at 192.0.0.64 though SADP still doesn't see it so unsure if something is amiss when I installed it. I've changed it to suit the IP range I'll be using and all good to go.

I have found that if WinpCap is not properly installed when you install sadp then it will not work properly...in windows 8 i had to run the installer in compatibility mode...

Fair enough Fenderman :)

I've never installed SADP before so wasn't aware of any issues. Either way, after resetting the cams they're accessible at the default address.

FWIW, ..., I recently purchased this Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I camera: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...9SIA7742GU8506

The label said its IP address was 192.0.0.64, so that was the address I used to access its server/interface. No luck. I finally relented and (after scanning the supplied disk with Avira Antivir, Spybot and Malwarebytes, just to feel safer) installed SADP (I tend to resist installing any "helpful" software that comes with cameras, or anything else for that matter, especially when I can access it using a browser.) It (SADP) immediately discovered the camera and listed a lot of information about it (IP address, serial number, firmware version, etc.) Surprise, the IP address was not 192.0.0.64 but 192.0.0.62. Since I was in SADP I reset its IP address to what I wanted, exited SADP, and then access the camera via its server to complete my settings. I also uninstalled SADP since I would not need it again.

Bottom line, SADP seems pretty powerful. It easily found all of my Hikvision cameras on my network, plus it provided a lot of useful information about the cameras that can be downloaded in an Excel spreadsheet file for future reference. I would use it again, as necessary (though I will only install it on an as needed basis).

@sprucecams You can also download SADP from hikvision's website in the tools section...so you dont have to rely on a random disc by a supplier or in case you misplace the disc...

Hello all - I am new to IP CAMs and was recommended Hikvision cameras. Where do I find CCTV Camera China or Julia to purchase a couple? Is it an eBay company? Thanks!
