Hello
The last couple of cameras I bought had firmware 5.2.0 multilanguage and they work fine but now I notice they have V5.2.5 . Anyone know what changes have been made ?
I'm recommending these cameras to a friend and I'll need to help him out with settings so I'm a little worried they made lots of changes that will take me time to learn again or worse still they screwed it up like my last Tenvis experience :redface-new:

Hi Jim

I upgraded a couple of my cams from 5.2.0 to 5.2.5 and then put them back to 5.2.0 using tftp

There is a 'feature' in 5.2.5 that causes a 20 min lock out when you change things ... I cant remember what it was that caused the feature to activate but twice was enough to give me the raving hump and give up :sad2:

There were slight menu differences but picture quality seemed to be the same...

I have 5.2.5 and the only time I had a lock out is when something locked out the account due to too many password attempts. I was playing with different vms things and they weren't configured right and would keep hitting the camera and lock out the account.

Thank you rhodges

That would be it then.. for purposes of the test I reverted to the cam to the '12345' password and set the nvr to be the same.

Updated the cam and then put the password back to what I wanted it to be... but now in hind sight, I should of altered it in the nvr before letting them talk to each other, lol
