Thanks for confirming @bp2008. I'll pick up a 500mA 12v power supply and cable things up and see how it works. I appreciate info from @Securame and @nayr but it seems that this type of configuration has worked so I'm willing to try it.

@ramleaf and @bp2008... Looks like I have received all my components to add the extra illuminator. Here's a diagram of how I plan on connecting things. I plan on doing this Saturday.

Thanks @ramleaf. I tested the illuminator manually and it makes a difference so I'm looking forward to getting this permanently installed. There weren't any reviews on it so I hope it lasts.

I just made all the connections today and now waiting on nightfall to adjust how the illuminator is aimed. I have confirmed that the camera and illuminator are powered and working as expected. Looking forward to how this looks tonight. I really appreciate all the help from everyone to get this done!

Pretty pleased with the Before and After results. Would be a bit better if the illuminator was more flood than spot. All in all, it did what I hoped and that was to add some light to the steps and front door area.

Hi all, thanks for the information.

I copied what was done above and it did not work.
The port the NVR did not even light up when i patched the adaptor in.

Any ideas?
