It was the file transfer completed or whatever. The closed the tftp server.

Is it possible now to go down the rs232 route?

Next take a cable and plug into a switch or the router.
Go to you computer and open up iVMS
Go to device management and look for the camera it should say it not added
Click on add device
Give the camera a name
Then type admin
Then for the password use admin(your device code which is under the camera
Eg YHUJK ) hit add

Navigate to security and untick illegal log in and save
Navigate to user and modify the password to what you want hit save
Then in device manager delete the camera it will be back to the not added bottom part
Re add the camera this time
admin
Your new password
Then it should add with password strength showning strong
Go to network and untick dhcp as each time I will power off it will get a new ip.
You can the set up wifi also untick dhcp there too
And you can add the IP address to an nvr and the nvr will record what’s coming out

This IP address you can not load in to a browser it will not work this way
On your phone app it will work
If you add this to a nvr channel under manually then you can see it
For all settings click on the camera with remote management and all the settings will open up for you

Ok im still nutting away at this LOL. Ive tried multiple firmware upgrades via TFTP with no luck. I dont get the system upgrade successful. So maybe I have the wrong firmware?

Anyway I played with the RS232 option today and the best I got was hik mcu (v1.2) thats as far as I got, not sure if I need to send a break or what to get serial data to load.

Please help!

I have followed the above steps but am still getting password incorrect. I am using the device "verification code" which is like QGFYCU.

Any ideas?

Thanks
