I have the same bloody problem with my Hikvision cameras i got a 2x4tb purple WD40PURZ

i have
NVR : DS-7616NI-I2 / 16P running V4.1.50 build 180227
x 2 x DS-2CD2385FWD-I (8mp) running V5.5.51 build 180408
x 2 x DS-2CD2T85FWD-I8 running V5.5.51 build 180408

i'm getting skips also i played around a lot today and found that I Frame Interval from 50 to 80 has fixed some up

this is really annoying and i'm so close on removing hikvision from my life (selling the crap and going dahua) hikvision need to fix this annoying bug in there nvr systems i belive it could be the NVR doing it of WD hard drive i'm going to remove both later and replace with a 8tb wd purple where the cache size might be the problem

for an update i think i find the fix and the bug
in the camera Linkage Method Trigger Recording the ch number is also ticked in the motion recording/linecrossing tabs
if you use continuous recording you need to untick that ch
i'm not sure why it stops and then restart continuous recording again it seems there is a small bug that does this which it shouldn't be doing that

since i have unticked it seem like i don't have any problem at all when someone walks past

i'm emailing hikvision to see why this does this.
see screen shots of the ch ticks which shouldn't be

the problem is if i untick them also i don't get an email photos of the capture :(

For those interested As above mentions, this is caused by having 'trigger channel switched on on multiple cameras with continuous recording activated.

This drove me mad for weeks until i stumbled across a post that pointed out on a busy site all my cameras were encoding events at the same time causing the frame skip phenomenon.

Once i disabled it i was able to run my cameras maxed out but obviously if you rely on emailing stills or push notifications recording small video clips in hik connect on motion you are pretty much goosed...

This is obviously demanding on the recorder i use the ds7608's and was all but ready to throw it out the window,

Pro...no more skipping frames
Con... no stills or forwarded video clips...

Someone did point out under recording>advanced you could change this from main stream to sub stream so you still had some sort of a clip or still but i never bothered to try this .

Hope it helps.

Also Hik need to fix this!

Thank you for the tip @Paul Arthur and @Camera Guy999!
Did you untick CH number in event (motion) and smart event (line crossing, intrusion,...etc) on CAMERA or on NVR site?

Because if i untick channel name in Event (motion) menu on NVR as @Paul Arthur suggested, motion detection in event play menu in iWMS cannot find nothing more. However, if I untick channel name in VCA (line crossing, intrusion), VCA searching Works normally …
