I wonder - can you order on with 2.8mm on one lens and 3.6 on the other? I guess if you wanted to you would order one of each and swap the lenses around yourself too.

I keep picturing Steve Buscemi in Mr Deeds with the wonkey eyes lol.

I'd like to know the answer to this too. Maybe someone can order a couple and try, then sell other one here. Or maybe Andy could make some up if its not too time consuming of an operation.

Each lens will have a different field of view. The smaller number will have a wider field of view while a higher number will have a narrower field of view. For example....
2.8mm horizontal - 110°
2.8mm vertical - 58°
3.6mm horizontal - 87°
3.6mm vertical - 48°

I think what might also be interesting would be to put a 6mm lens on one. That one would have a very narrow field of view but that might be good for facial ID or some other specific use while the other might be pointing on another direction with a wider general view of an area.

Yeah I can pretty much cover the approach to my front door along with someone standing right at the door with a single 3.6 mm lens. But the vertical FOV is a bit limited. Ideally, I'd have a 6 mm lens aimed at the arch in front of the door, at head height, to get a good, detailed view of anyone approaching. Then I'd have a 2.8 mm for an overall view of the entry area.

Wish they could make dual mini PTZ or at least dual varifocal in this design.

Hey guys

This model 2.8mm stock in now, so the booking orders can all process this weekend. And 3.6mm i think can be ready on Monday.
Still have some left, so anyone need, send us email asap.

@looney2ns or @Arjun
Are any of you having issues with setting up ivs or intrusion zones on channel 2?

I am able to set up both on channel 1. Everything is working fine on this channel.

I can draw and save the rules on channel 2, but it does not show up or work on channel 2.

Hi guys,
I have it sorted now.
You have to log into the camera directly and set from there.
Thanks.

Um...Seems to be a glitch in the camera UI or maybe in the nvr5216-4ks2?
I able to see the rules on the screen for both channels but the rules only work on the last saved Smart Plan.

When you change the camera channel display, the rules disappear from the one that wasn't save last.
ie. Save channel 1, rules for channel 2 might show on the display but does not sense any movement and vise versa.

I have the same issues with settings and controls for the secondary cam that I reported earlier in May. Basically, you can set IVS rules on the secondary cam, but it does not produce any effect. It doesn't even appear on screen, but you still can see them IVS rules if you are in "settings". Many settings on the primary cam intermittently affect the secondary cam. For example, if you set BLC on the primary cam for it point to the scene that has bright background, the secondary cam may also take that setting and causes undesirable result. I asked @EMPIRETECANDY to check with Dahua for fixes via a firmware upgrade before. He said he would, but I haven't heard from him since then. For those of you using BI, since BI doesn't use IVS, they work with BI motion detection; however, other issues still persist.

Tomorrow i check if have any new firmware for this cam, if have, i will post here. Dahua fix bugs every 2-3 month and release the new FW.

Just got mine and am pre-staging it. Problem I'm seeing is that while logged in directly to the cam, I'm on the Live tab...and cam only seem to get 1 camera showing video at a time. They both seem to work - I just can only see one at a time. Is this expected?

EDIT: Just got the camera(s) configured in BI. Looking good. Just need to get it mounted now.
