Here is sample video. Sorry for the bouncing daytime video, been very windy and my test rig is paying the price.

I am pleasantly surprised at how well it holds it's own at night.

The zoom into the mailbox is with digital zoom turned on and used.

There is a 5231ZE just to the left of the cam with it's IR on.
Plus the post lamp with 7.5w of LED light.

I notice in the 5th picture down that on the circuit board one component has one lead not soldered.
It is the black part with two wires that is nearest to the case mounting hole. One of the two wires
is not soldered. Manufacturing defect?

the 'unsoldered' component appears to be a status LED, and may well be properly soldered on the underside of the board...

Likely is actually soldered on other side of the plate-through hole. The leads on discrete components are easier to solder from the non-compent side of the board. Probably just didn't wick through the entire plate-through.

I have the 2MP version, the SD22204T-GN, and i was not impressed by the quality at night by that camera.

But maybe the 22404 is better. Waiting for the video :D

The 22204T-GN isn't Starlight, the 22204TNI is the Starlight version.

@blake , i know. But that camera was not available there where i bought the 22204T-GN at that time.

That's why i am now curious how the 4mp of the T-GN performs.

I'll look at that when I take it back down, but it's functioning fine.

Well somebody has a nice zeroturn. It does okay, but you can definitely tell it's not a starlight cam. Would do well if there is a bunch of white light and or IR.

Thanks to Looney's wonderful testing, this 4mp cam exceed my expectation, this cam can use at indoor or outdoor with good light.

I also found out there is a strlight based version.
I have 2 of the 22204T-GN ones, but will order 2 of the 22204TNI. 10 times better low light performance willimprove the image a lot. In need the PTZ options and not more than the 4x optical zoom, so this modell will do.

I guess i can sell the GN versions.
