I'm new, completely clueless. I need to export a video from earlier today (yay, validation on why I spent $1500 on cameras...), and I'm following the instructions in the video:
When I export my video as MP4, I get audio, but no video. Help please. Let me know what screenshots you need. BI 4, can't even find the full version number, that's how new I am!

do you have an mp4 codec installed on the machine for playback?
before you do anything else...copy the bvr file to another folder before it gets overwritten and it will get overwritten fast if you have not changed the default clips and archiving settings

Assume no? Can I download one from somewhere and put it on a flashdrive? (the camera machine isn't on the internet)
Also, how do I change that default? I don't want to delete stuff until I delete it.

first you never want to delete manually...setup the storage properly by allocating the harddrive space you have available...see the video on it..again, if you dont copy the bvr file someplace before you figure this out you will lose your video. you can protect the clip as well, but i recommend making a copy asap.
take the mp4 file and play it using vlc on another pc and see if it works

I copied the bvr file to another folder, there's 2 of them for the applicable camera, and are about 6gb total. Will go get the mp4 and try it.
And won't delete manually, promise!

VLC worked. Good, I've got that clip at least.
Next - what settings/where do I need to modify to make sure I don't overwrite data? I've got 8TB of space to play with. Or link me to another thread with it please?
