Hello all.

I have the DS-7608NI-SE/P nvr with 5 cameras connected to it. I am trying to add a new camera, a DS-2CD2442FWD-IW. The NVR is listing the camera as Offline(Network Abnormal). At one point I thought the Offline status was replaced with stream not supported, but am not able to reproduce that status.

I have pictures of the nvr and camera setup screens attached. This is a wired camera, not using WiFi.

Suggestions?

Thanks

Bill

I am assuming you have activated the camera via sadap and it gave you the 192.168.1.106 ip is dhcp now off, untick the box
And the password you set was the same as the nvrs.?
Go to camera management and manually add the camera, not plug and play.
Click on modify enter the IP address
Then admin
Then the camera password
Hit refresh on the web browser and it should come up if it says stream not supported that’s usually due to encryption being on

Yes. Camera setup and works via firefox. I changed to static ip. Put camera password in nvr. When I am there tomorrow I will double check everything on your list just for sure and report back.

I swapped out some old switches that were flakey for new gigabit ones. Connects now with no problems.

Only problem.now is my NVR won't show a picture when multiple streams are up. I am starting a new thread for this though.

Thanks

Bill
