I’m running BI v4.8.3.2 w32 and it’s crashing every couple days with the error message Blue Iris has stopped working.

It seems to happen when there’s a fair amount of activity triggering the cameras - washing cars on driveway or just doing things in the garage.

I have 4 cameras connected to my Intel 17 running Windows 7. There are 3 x Hikvision and 1 x LTS cameras.

Anyone else experiencing a similar error?

what exact intel processor are you using? check to see if your memory is climbing. Is this a clean windows installation?

I have an Intel i7-3770 running at 3.5GHz.

Its a fresh installation of Microsoft Windows 7.

BI has been running for over 3-1/2 years with no issues at until until about 6 months ago. I thought the problems were caused by just a bad update and hoping it would be fixed on the next but unfortunately not. There's been no change with the exception of me adding a new LTS camera a few months back which was after I started to experience BI crashing.

Will Watchdog help restart if needed as a workaround?

I would backup your settings and reinstall blueiris...
You can set up blue iris to run as a service and or use blueiris tools to restart it automatically.

Apologies for my ignorance but how how would I run BI as a service?

Where would I find the BI configuration settings to restart it automatically in the event it stops functioning?

Thanks in advance!

Start the Blue Isis Console and click on the "gear" icon and Blue Isis Options > Startup (Tab) > Run as a Windows service

Remove LTS camera from it. Does it still crash?

Fenderman, are you referring to the watchdog tools? Any tutorials or forum threads you can point me to?

BI stopped functioning again tonight.
to run as a service blue iris options>startup. When the service starts blue iris will be working, but in the background, you need to run the program to get the console up.
Note that since you are running w7, you cannot run as a service and use hardware acceleration. This is not an issue with 8 or 10.
For blue iris tools see Blue Iris Tools - Weather Overlay, Watchdog & more!
I would look into figuring out what is causing the issue...do a new clean install, preferably with 10.
