I've been learning around here for quite some time and very rarely post. Back in July I purchased some equipment from Andy and finally got some free time to get things up and running. I am still very much learning as I go and have spent hours on the wiki and reading the 400+ page Dahua Manufacture's manual . The cameras are all IPC-HDW5231R-ZE and I have NOT adjusted any video settings in the camera yet and I'm looking for some guidance. In the videos below you can see the haze or ghost effect from the kids walking. How can I clear up this so future recordings are much better/clearer? I can update with any settings if anyone wants to see later this afternoon.

Thanks,
C

The first video looks like it is getting IR reflection back into the lens. If mounted on the soffit, that's what it could be reflecting off of. The light on the garage across the street is most likely affecting the exposure as well. Tilt the cam down until the light is not in the frame.

The second one, you either need more light or adjust the shutter speed faster.

I've found the shutter speed settings but they are on the camera and its a pita for me to access the camera because i only have a POE NVR with a laptop that only has wireless capabilities. So, im working on getting to those settings and playing around with them to fine tune. Its been a very slow learning process...
