Hey guys, I purchased a number of Hikvision cameras this spring and installed a system in my home.
I purchased most of the cameras via ebay and even though the sellers stated they were US cameras that all have fully upgradeable US firmware, I just would like it if someone verified before I do any firmware upgrades.
The cameras I have are as follows:
6 - DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS
All have serial numbers of: DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS20170628BBWRxxxxxxxxx (with the xxxxxxxxx being a different numerical serial per camera)
All have firmware: V5.4.5 build 170124
1 - DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS
Serial number of: DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS20180410BBWRCxxxxxxxx (with the xxxxxxxx being a numerical, and as I noted compared to the first 6 of these I purchased it has a 'C' as the first numeral of the serial. I purchased this one from a different vendor a month or so after I bought the first batch of 6.)
Firmware: V5.5.5 build 180111
1 - DS-2CD2742FWD-IZS
Serial number: DS-2CD2742FWD-IZS20170326BBWRxxxxxxxxx
Firmware: V5.4.5 build 170124
2 - DS-2DE3304W-DE
Serial numbers of: DS-2DE3304W-DE20171030CCWRxxxxxxxxxW and DS-2DE3304W-DE20180131CCWRxxxxxxxxxW
Firmwares: V5.5.0 build 170724 and V5.5.3 build 171214
As it stands I have 3 different models of cameras and 4 different versions of firmware.
I would like all the cameras that are the same to be running the same firmware, but before I go messing around I figured I would see if anyone can verify they are all US-region models beforehand.
Also, if anyone could point out if the firmware I am on is the best or not, or if I am better off switching to newer firmwares would be appreciated.
The only "issue" I am having at the moment is that the single DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS that is different from the other 6 goes into night mode at a completely different time than any of the rest. All the other 6 switch to night mode within a minute or so, while that one stays in color day mode for at least a good half hour longer if not more. I have also noticed on one of the 6 DS-2CD2142FWD-IWS from the first batch if I try to switch off/on the IR light it won't change state until I reboot the camera. All the rest will make the change when I change the setting and save it.
I am using all of these along with another brand IP camera with Blue Iris.
