If my alarm tripped in the middle of the night, and there wasn't instant access to my cameras, I wouldn't know if there was a genuine threat, or if a shovel fell over in the garage.
My planned solution is to create a Blue Iris/PC/Dahua system, built from what I'm learning in this forum, and have an always-on tablet streaming my cameras live. That way if something wakes me up, I can see my cameras in seconds.
This seems like it would work, but as an IP camera beginner I'm not sure, and am genuinely interested in hearing what you more experienced camera guys have to say on this, so hopefully it's okay to post this.
