Does anyone know if it is possible to add a heater to an existing camera?
I do not have a problem with the cold and the electronics, it is to help keep the snow and ice off the main lens.
I know I could probably mount it in a heated enclosure, but was hoping there was some soret of internal heater available.

I'd guess the PoE circuit likely doesn't support the current it'd take to run a heater. They don't sell a "heater module" that would fit into one of these integrated bullets... only the bigger ones used w/ the c-mount cameras.

If you're good w/ electronics & wanted to go the DIY route, it might be tricky unless they used the same components that are on the dome flavor.. I've got that one and I'm 99% certain it has a small heater/fan assembly. In the specs for the dome version, it shows a PoE+ power consumpution of < 18 watts where the bullet shows < 13 watts. I'm guessing that difference is the heater assembly, although it doesn't mention having one anywhere that I've seen. I think I've got it in a picture somewhere... If you have external power available, rigging up a tiny thermostat or arduino + temp sensor + relays + resistor bank might be possible.

I run my on a seperate power line.
I could easily rig up a small resistive heater, just really don't want to open the seals on the camera just to find out there is not room.
