Hi,
hope someone can help, not sure what i have done in BI :-( I did have it all working with one profile, as in i had the triggers/alerts, could see the video clips etc.
I then setup 3 profiles, home, away, night, i copied video properties to each profile. i changes profile 1 to not record/trigger (when at home) and left other 2 to record/trigger as before.

I changed my profile to "away" to trigger/record, which it is doing, and i see the alert clips, but, when i double click a clip it just says "sorry, the file could not be found"

I am stumped :-(

anyone come across this before? I have looked through all the settings I can think of.

many thanks in advance

not sure if related or whats going on, but on the right looking at clips if i have the All showing (green arrow) the vidoes seem to be 00sec, and, each time a trigger it is creating a new one (even tho i have no combine or cut set), if i click alert clips there are videos there with time against them, i.e 14 secs, but no matter what I click on it says the same error, with the exception of one video, which had more motion (33 second alert clip that seemed to create an "All" video of 39 seconds, that one i can play, but, it missed all the action. No idea whts happened since i did the profiles :-( boo hoo

Post the record tab of one of the problem cameras. Include an image for each of your new profiles.

Thanks for coming back to me @fenderman but before posting screenshots I "think" i might have figured it (think being the operative word). Basically when I first setup the system I had h265 setup on camera, and, in BI i had it set to decode Nvidia cuda (all working ok), then i noticed the yellow exclamation mark and looked in the logs and it was saying "NVDEC setup failed 483 for hevc" -so i googled this and it said something about the decode, so, I turned this off on the camera and in general options, so yellow exclamation mark disappeared and no more of those errors in the log, so I thought great, solved, was some time later I noticed I could not play any videos, and camera still set to h265, so I am "guessing" that without the decode turned on my computer cannot process h265? I just turned it back to decode cude, and, i seem to be able to play videos and they are not 00 seconds anymore, but, of course the yellow exclamation is back.

does this sound about right?

not sure what that error really means.

thanks

well the above does not seem to be the answer, with no setting changes i just had 2 motion detections 2 minutes apart, one vid shows as 16 secs long and plays just fine, the 2nd video about 2 mins later shows as 24 secs long and when trying to view just says "sorry....." :-(

and what is odd, is, the first video on the alert clip tab shows 16 secs long, on the green All clip tab 22 seconds (this vid plays), the 2nd video on the alerts clip tab shows 24 secs, but on the "All" green play clips tab shows 00 secs (guess thats why that wont play, but why 00 seconds, dont get it. I wonder if it is because i do not record video continuously and just on motion and maybe there is some buffer not quite working right, i notice in the photos I get emailed the photo capture is instant of the motion happening, but, the video alert clip is always a couple of seconds out on this, even tho I have it set to 0.3s

and spoke to soon, it just did it, screen shots following now, only thing I did change (I think before this test) was changing camera to h264 and changed decoding to intel (again to get rid of the yellow exclamation mark) as before when i changed that i didnt change to the h264, so i changed to h264 on camera first, then changed global options and camera option to intel decoding, and now again, when trigger i have alert clips with some seconds of video, but, the continuous recording video is 00 secs.

so the fault lies somewhere in the camera video setting, if i have it set to intel it does not record video (only alert videos record that then wont play as they dont correlate to the continuous recording), if i turn it off intel and onto default it works and it records video. I have (as running on test laptop at the moment) the following:

Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-8550U CPU @ 1.80GHz, 2001 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

which is intel and quick sync

I am running into same issue. With hardware encoding. I am not sure if that is the bug.
