Hi, I'm having the same issues and it'll be difficult to get wired network in my case. The whole reason for buying this products was the WiFi capability.
On top of all that I cannot upgrade the VTO from v2.2, it rejects all firmwares. The VTH upgraded to 3+ and now when I try to upgrade it to 4 it tells me the username or password are incorrect.
Any better, reliable products on the market?

I'm wondering, should I upgrade the MCU as well with this new firmware? This is what I'm seeing now. I think the microcontroller should be updated too

But I'm a little bit scrared to press OK, as I had to unbrick once, and it is really inconvenient with my setup:D
Thanks!

I also got this, when trying to upgrade the vth5221. Never changed any passwords on the unit. How to resolve this? Thanks!

@Gabor I just got it working with 888888 as password. I was using the VTOConfig.

@Tsarsky I upgraded to the version you provided but I don't' see the Transmission Mode option.

@Go88cE after upgrade you need to default reset device 2111 and clear all history, cookies and other in browser Internet Explorer - after that you will see Transmission Mode 2.

@Gabor this is latest MCU for you device.

Thanks @Tsarsky! That did work.
I think clearing history and cookies may be enough as I noticed changing the IP address to what it was before displayed the old page. After clearing browser history the page appeared as expected.

I finally got the system working vi wired network (direct connection for now since I cannot get switch between them yet).
WiFI was working but besides bad video it was unreliable. At times the VTO would not reconnect which is not acceptable. The WIFI signal is quite strong, so that is not the issue. The router is Netgear D8500 if that matters.

Anyway, now I have small issue with the remote controlling the gate. It seems the VTO dramatically shortened the range of my remote control. I'm guessing it is the (rf) card reader.. I started thread in here VTO2111D turn card reader off
