For people who have this model , what do you think about IR power for this model ?

Thanks

BICK
Generally I disable the IR on my cameras because it tends to wash out the faces. The lighting in my area is good enough for the lowlight cameras without the IR being on. However on the two PTZ1A225U-IRA-N cameras that I have I did leave the IR on. For my situation the IR is plenty powerful enough.

Hi all, new to forum, first post etc.. so, I have one of these and it's worked okay ish up until now. I had some issues with object detection and stupidly did a factory reset to start from scratch. This has made it terrible, and I have no idea how to tune it. Anyone got a link to best way to setup/tune auto-track and detection on Dahua?

The guy I got it from is fedup of my questions, and Dahua uk won't even reply, so struggling to gain any knowledge of what's needed here.

Before "fettling" it, I would see lots of green squares at night from dust etc that were being detected, and now I'm not getting anything at all, even with the track size thing set to 0-Max, so I don't know if I've just forgotten a simple checkbox, or I need to change something.. it's very frustrating.

Have you tried the manual that came on a disc with the camera?

Hi, yes I've been through that. Lack of product knowledge and the minimal manual are holding me back. I've since managed to fix the tracking bit, but now it's stopped zooming in nicely. Convinced it's a setting I've missed or don't understand so I'm slowly working my way through some of them and seeing if they make any difference.

Any golden tips much appreciated.

I saw some very strange problems on the PTZ1A225U camera I have running at home yesterday.

Basically the IR filter was stuck so the picture was black and white in the daytime and the temperature sensor was reading a constant 90c.
  1. I did a reset of the video settings but still stuck in B&W.
  2. Rebooted the camera via the web interface and still stuck in B&W.
  3. Reset the camera to default settings via the web interface (no network setting reset) - still stuck in B&W.
  4. Reset the camera to factory default settings via the web interface and still stuck in B&W.
  5. Disabled the port the camera is connected to for 2 minutes and then enabled causing a cold boot - camera fixed and temperature back in the mid teens.
I've not seen this happen before but certainly one to watch out for - firmware wise it's on the latest June 2018 firmware.

If anyone else gets this then just try a cold boot (ie full power disconnection) before resetting everything to defaults.

I do not see why not. It can be mounted upside down so that it can look out from underneath a sofit.

thanks for the pic. I have 18" sofit so i have the space.
FYI - It not only comes with the "arm" type mount that will bolt to a wall or corner mounting plate, it also has just a junction box included with conduit fittings that can be directly mounted to the Soffit. It is an awesome camera, with no limitations on movement.

As @looney2ns pointed out in the 59225 thread there's a new firmware available for this camera (it's the same main firmware as the 59225 - different PTZ firmware though):

https://www.dahuasecurity.com/products/productDetail/17991

[NTSC]DH_SD-Eos_MultiLang_NP_Stream3_V2.623.0000000.13.R.181205
[PAL]DH_SD-Eos_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V2.623.0000000.13.R.181205

I've had the new firmware loaded 36 hours plus now with no admin interface crashes - the release notes have a few changes including fixes when using microSD cards (which I do).

My mistake. This DOES NOT include the PFB703W wall mount like I stated above. I had to order that extra, when I ordered from Andy.

I upgraded my camera with the latest firmware, and while it may be just a coincidence, my IE 11 is no longer showing video. Instead I get the "install plugin" error. Of course, I do, and no beans. Reboot, private tab, everything. No go. IE Tab in Brave (set to IE 7) also won't work.

That's strange as it's working fine in IE for me here using the Dahua plugin 3.0.0.3 - the Dahua Plugin Class extension is definitely enabled within IE?
