I am guessing this is one of their China market focused products. They sell extensively to Chinese regional government, e.g., in Xinjiang.

I will admit that there is some satisfaction in watching a drone fall out of the sky. This would be a great gift for this fellow Man shoots down drone that spied on his daughter

It's a shame but I suppose that this can't actually drop them out the sky. It disrupts the signals but the drone would probably keep hovering? On the other hand.. it does have 70 minutes of operating time.. so if you're patient enough, you could keep "shooting" at the drone until the battery runs out :lol:

Watch the videos on the hikvision gun, it does bring the drone down.

Hmm.. I did watch a few now. It still seems that they just can't control them after the gun is disrupting the signals. Maybe if there is a safety feature on the drone that lands it after it loses GPS signal or something (the last one on the video probably has this, since its rotors stopped after landing). Of course, it will drop cheaper drones, that you have to keep hovering manually. On one video the drone flew off since it lost the GPS signal but I couldn't find one where it gets dropped.

EDIT: My bad, I just noticed that you said it brings it down. Indeed it does, but I would like to see it drop like a rock :lol:

Ahhh.. I was too late to edit. Indeed it gets brought down, I guess its a Phantoms safety feature, I'll have to check mine if it has something like that. It seems the best way to shut it down is still an eagle.

If it truly works on the DJI phantom 4, it will likely work on all normal drones. I can see the guy using it getting shot for aiming what looks like a military rifle into the air. That would be ironic.

It is going to suck for anyone using these RF frequencies as soon as these become cheap and available enough that people run out and buy them just to troll others with. I'm sure they'd jam wifi just as well as drone controls.
