Although I'm typically looking for something newer.... is something like this G1 too old? I understand old can equate to inefficiency for the power at hand. It has PS/2 ports I think.... will a standard Mac USB keyboard work with this box by default?

So, to add two 3.5 drives what exactly do you need for the install? Just a sata cable for each drive and screws? I was thinking that the cables would already in place.

Thanks,

Robert
Yes you only need the SATA cables and the mounting screws. The power cable comes from the power supply which is already there.

I’ll be getting them today. I’ll take pictures so you can look at what I’m talking about. Remember that mine is G3. Has the optical drive, SSD M2 (which is like a memory card) and two available spaces for 3.5” drives and one for a 2.5” drive.

Here’re the pics from the install. Pretty easy.

This is the front of the G3

The following 2 pics is to show you that it has 3 available spaces for extra drives 3.5” and 2.5”

Mounting screws installed in the 4TB WD Purple HDD

Final installation of the drive with the power cable from Power Supply and SATA cable

I hope this clarify you the process to install it and space available in a Elitedesk G3

"simulated sine wave"
Sounds like new lipstick on the "modified sine wave" pig. I wouldn't want to use it, but the answer will be argued 'till the pigs come home.
