Hello:

I've set up the tripwire notification in IVS for the Dahua cam with both snapshot and "send e-mail" but it seems I do not get any notification on this. Could you please advise if I missed anything in setup.

Thank you!

More info is needed for debugging. Is the IVS alert causing camera-local storage video to be captured? Is the test email working? If yes to both q's, a screenshot of Setting > Network > SMTP would be helpful.

The Cam is set up on NVR and on all-day recording. Test email doesn't work properly for some reason. I don't have CAM SD card for storage. Please see a screenshot for Network settings.

Either I need new glasses, or a higher resolution screenshot is needed. However, from the fuzzy screenshot, the entries look too short. For gmail, you want something like:

smtp.gmail.com
587
myCamEmail@gmail.com
myCamEmailPassword
myCamEmail@gmail.com
TLS
Camera IVS alert (check attachment)
myCamEmail@gmail.com (click + so the email drops into the block below)

I've updated all settings and looked up additional info on internet and Cliff notes but Test email fails. I've also Enabled email in NVR settings, etc. Could you please advise where the error might be. I've played between SSL and TLS as well. Thank you!

Port 587 for TLS

BTW, you probably want to redact your email address prior to posting.

Thank you! It worked with the Port change. Noted in regards to email, thank you!
It only worked in NVR settings, not in CAM configuration set up: correct? It looks CAM needs to have SD card to set up the email notification setting, correct?

also, any advice on how to set up spikes in playback when the tripwire activated so I don't need to view 24-hour playback.

Well done! I'm set up with Cam only with SD card (U3 Samsung), so can't help with NVR, and I've forgotten my misspent youth in pre-SDcard days.

BTW, if you want better cyber-sec for your camera, use a google app password to generate a unique camera-only password. This helps limit your google account's exposure if the camera credentials (login/pass) are cracked.

Anyone could help on how to set up playback when the tripwire activated so I don't need to view 24-hour playback and only look up when this event happened.

I have the snapshot feature setup so I get a picture emailed to me and then if I need more I can go look at specific time/cam details on any one of my interfaces.

Could you please advise your settings since I have everything checked "snapshot" and email notification but email notification comes without pictures. Any suggestions please.

Do you have email notifications working yet? I will take a look this evening and update.

@Philly Post screenshots of (high enough resolution to read) of
1. Setting > Event > IVS and
2. Setting > Network > SNMP

Take another screenshot of the email tab. You took SNMP and we need to see SMTP (email)

IVS settings look OK. I meant to ask for Network > SMTP -- just make sure Attachment box is checked. As an aside, the IVS Rule Type "Intrusion" works better for me (and some others on this forum) than tripwire, meaning better true positive and lower false negatives. However, since you are getting emails (just sans attachments), tripwire must be working for you. Also, reboot after making changes, and post your firmware version just to make sure we're working from the same page.

Thank you again! Yes, the attachment box is checked in the email settings. Rebooted manually - Please see the firmware version.
