I am Marc, living near Cherbourg, France. I breed Siberian Huskies and I am also a web developper (Joomla Expert). At home, I have extended my local network in the kennel nurseries. We have 8 chalets, each one with IPCAM-100 camera (KingCam) for puppies oversight.

I've several PC at home, all under Ubuntu 18 and watch the cams videos with VLC command.

Some of them displays vlc error (konsole) and the image swap, block and restart ...
Ex:
marc@liubov:~$ vlc rtsp://admin:admin@chalet2:554/stream1
VLC media player 3.0.4 Vetinari (revision 3.0.4-0-gf615db6332)
Created new TCP socket 22 for connection
libva info: VA-API version 1.1.0
libva info: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva info: Trying to open /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva info: Found init function __vaDriverInit_1_1
libva info: va_openDriver() returns 0

[00007f949c139210] main decoder error: Could not convert timestamp 1545101831469856 for g711

Is it a cam bug (config) or VLC bug ? Is there an expert here to help me to correct this ?

Thanks, Marc.

Welcome @Marc Letouzé

Did it used to work prior to this?

Perhaps @alastairstevenson may have a suggestion?

No, I saw this Timestamp conversion issue since the beginning.
One more info, I still have 2 CPL at home to deliver Internet in a room that i could not cabled.
Does CPL signal can cause a network trouble ? or nothing to see ?

thank you for your help.
