Not sure if I should post this here or in the Exacqvision area. I have an Exacqvision box with 6 hikvision cameras and 1 dahua camera. I'm trying to add another Dahua and I seem to remember struggling with this when I added the 1st dahua. Basically, I've connected the camera via ONVIF (the Dahua 'device type' won't connect). I can connect to the camera via Exacqvision but the 'MOTION' tab isn't present in Exacqvision. When I go into 'Schedule' in Exacqvision, it shows that camera as 'No Motion'. When under 'Camera Recording' it shows 'Scheduled off' for that camera.

Under the camera settings, I have the checkbox checked to enable Motion Detection. Working period looks good. Area looks good. Please help!

I felt like it had to do with something along the lines of setting up the motion area or schedule. Anyway, here are the specs on the camera:

Device TypeIPC-HDW4631C-A
sys.FirmVersion2.460.0000000.16.R, Build Date: 2017-09-04sys.FindNewVersion
WEB Version3.2.1.491565
ONVIF Version16.12(V2.4.0.485616)

I will bump this to the top by adding - I am able to set it to continuous record so I know it's addressable. Just not sure what I have configured incorrectly.

I figured out that the 2 dahua cameras have a different version of ONVIF. Anyone familiar with the differences?

IPC-HDW4631C-A sys.FirmVersion 2.460.0000000.16.R, Build Date: 2017-09-04 WEB Version 3.2.1.491565 ONVIF Version 16.12(V2.4.0.485616). This is the camera where the motion recording does NOT work.

IPC-HDBW4431R-ZS Software Version 2.420.0000.22.R, Build Date: 2016-12-09 WEB Version 3.2.1.404565 ONVIF Version 2.42). This is the camera where the motion recording DOES work.

Both your cameras are hacked chinese junk.
Where did you buy them and how much did you pay ?
If you try to update it you will end up with a brick.
When you purchase a camera and it says it is not upgradable is it chinese hacked junk, you get what you pay for.

Fair enough. I did quite a bit of research 3.5 years ago when I installed my system. I didn't have the budget for a "quality" system, but I wanted to be more robust than a wireless Arlo system or similar. I ended up with 5 Hikvision cameras (junk) from eBay and they have worked "very well" for my installation. I spent $70 per Hikvsion. 2 years ago I purchased a Dahua from eBay and it has been a wonderful addition to my Exacqvision setup. 1 of the 3.5 year old dome Hiks started getting cloudy so I thought all (junk) Dahuas were created equally. I was wrong. I haven't been researching the latest cameras because everything has been working so nicely.

I would still like to find a solution to my motion issue as the darn bugger is affixed to a soffit right now. I did set it up on the bench prior to installation, but I obviously didn't realize this problem until it's hanging and recording.

Worst case scenario? I leave it and record continuously on that 1 camera.
