Will send to the details to dahua for a checking, and let you guys know.
Andy, please make certain that you let Dahua that MANY here at IpCamTalk.com are experiencing this same issue. Would it help is other members posted their log files along with the firmware they are running?

Andy, Let me throw in my data also.

Pre 12/14/2018 version:

Also I have another problem with my 49225 (I bought it from you while you were experiencing/recovering from the big hurricane).
After every power on (or PTZ restart) the pan-tilt program wipes out any corrections I've made leaving my Pan azimuth numbers as:
True North (TN): 98.3 degrees, TE: 8.3 degrees, TS: 278.3, TW: 188.3.
In other words TN is 98.3 degrees off and East & West are reversed.
As long as the camera doesn't do a power-on or PTZ restart I can correct the TN but I can't correct the East-West reversal.

Any help (solution) to these problems would be as great as your speed of light service

Thanks,
Waldo (John)
Thanks! i will show them.

Actually is there ANYONE on this thread or elsewhere known to have a 49225 without this problem?
Yes, Mine has been solid for almost 2 years now. I'm not doubting that you are having a issue, but I'm counting only 5 users here out of hundreds of these sold. And, I am using the firmware that some had a problem with, so this is why I'm looking for other areas. Do you use a SD card in yours ? I do not. Hopefully someone will fully bench test one so all these little things can be eliminated.

May I ask, which firmware, how is it powered, what do you use to access it? IE, SmartPSS, BlueIris, 3rd party etc?

Well, I made a few changes (sorry, should have done 1 at a time), and the camera has been MUCH more stable... going on almost 48hrs.

1. On the Network Settings. I turned off EVERYTHING, Easy4ip, UPnP, Bonjour, Multicast, etc, etc
2. I have allowed the camera access to the internet again (I typically have all cameras on a VLAN that is blocked from the internet).

If it stays up another 24hrs, I will try blocking it from the internet again.

Code:
1    System    2018-12-15 11:23:26    Start up    {"Reboot Mark":"Exit"}

As the logs provide ample evidence, why would you even write this?
Oh, I don't know....maybe because he doubted ANYONE had this cam that was working. No need to get all worked up about it :)

Yep, I've got an SD card installed and as noted by my posted log it shows a "hot swap" frequently, probably due to dropping off line and power cycling.

"solid for 2 years now" may be the key, I bought mine about 3 months ago (9-15-2018).
The pre 12/14/2018 version I posted was the initial factory configuration.
May be a need for Dahua to check what they changed in the intervening years.
It could be something simple as a bad SD card or incompatible type....would be something else to try when you take it down. Hopefully they did not change hardware in them. Hopefully Andy may get some info on this.

No SD card in mine either. No reboots / restarts either.

Wasn't there a forum article a while back about a camera (5231R-ZE ???) having reboots due to problems with a SD card?

I cannot find it at the moment, as i'm not sure what it was. If i find or remember it, i will mention it.

I originally had an SD card in mine, I took it out as part of testing, made no difference to the restarts.. Am I right in thinking that the three (four?) of us here with problems are all purchases in the last year, and all the no-issue owners are older cameras? Does that fit?

I purchased my SD49225 in mid May of this year. And so far i had no restarts (knock on wood) other than the ones i did manually due to switch reconfiguration.
