I purchased my SD49225 in mid May of this year. And so far i had no restarts (knock on wood) other than the ones i did manually due to switch reconfiguration.
Can you share your config file? or screen shots? Do you allow the camera to access the internet?

Well. since I gave it back access to the internet and disabled all the network settings I could, camera hasn't rebooted since 2018-12-15 11:22:50 EST !!

EDIT - for ease of reading, its now 2018-12-18 16:26
Well you may have found something. I myself do not block my cameras from going out, but I do like you disable all the crap in the cam itself and use my BI machine to sync my time. I do use a VPN to block incoming crap. Possible that something like the NTP or one of the settings would crash cam if it was blocked ??? Glad your making progress !

By what method are you giving and restricting Internet access?
Firewall... entire VLAN doesn't have access to internet. BlueIris has 2 nics, on one VLAN one on open LAN... so it has full access to my VLAN network and a local NTP server for time sync.

Edit: so right now its off the VLAN and on my normal network. I have restricted it to 56kbps in/out instead just in case :)

Ummm. My SD49225T-HN has WAN access, and always has. Remind us of the other changes you've made @JayS_IPCams...and thank you very much for the information you've provided.:)

@SkyLake would you be amenable to posting your DeviceConfig.backup file here (System > Import/Export > Export). I'd like to import it as an experiment.

Also, please state the Firmware version you are presently running.

Basically I went into the network section of the settings and turned off:
TCP/IP - Easy4ip (was always off as i don't use it)
PPPoE (off default i think)
DDNS (off, default i think)
SMTP (off, default?)
UPnP off
SNMP off
Bonjour Off (default on)
Multicast Disable both main and sub stream (default was on)
802.1x off
QoS 0, 0
HTTPS disabled (default?)

If I remember correctly the only two I hadn't turned off yet was Bonjour and Multicast on Dec 15th.

Yep...I tried that a long time ago...but no joy.

Okay, an update from me.. firstly Dahua UK Support have said the camera "sounds faulty" and to contact my distributor for a replacement, I also acquired a used one today and have the two running side by side on the same Dahua NVR. I was also sent a new firmware by them prior to this and the errors I was getting in the log, on the reboot no longer say Reboot Mark: Exit, now it says Reboot Mark: Abort.. and, interestingly, the amount of logging on the used camera is far less than the faulty one..

Anyway, it's going back for a replacement.

The faulty one is running this:
Device TypeDH-SD49225T-HN
System Version2.623.0000000.7.R.R4.2510.9A.NR, Build Date: 2018-11-24
WEB Version3.2.1.662493
ONVIF Version16.12(V2.4.3.580229)
PTZ Version3.02.93.RHNZ_170518_22722

The good one is running this:
Device TypeDH-SD49225T-HN
System Version2.623.0000000.7.R.R4.2510.9A.NR, Build Date: 2018-11-24
WEB Version3.2.1.662493
ONVIF Version16.12(V2.4.3.580229)
PTZ Version3.02.93.RHNZ_170518_22722

I've attached the firmware if anyone is interested, think it's PAL though.

So... Only one reboot since I made those changes and Log doesn't say "Abort" this time. Strange that its become stable, but sounds like this model has some issues with quality control. Fingers crossed mine stays stable.

I’ve had this camera up for almost a year now with no issues, if you want to see any of my settings let me know?

Great to hear. I highly recommend NOT "upgrading" any firmware.
(As long as it works, don't "fix" it)

Between myself and a number of others on this thread we've tried about every thing possible so I doubt attempting to copy your configuration would work, but if you have the Camera and PTZ firmware files you have installed and a configuration file we might give it the ole college try - again.

Also, do you have an SD Card installed?, using an NVR?, SmartPSS, Brouser,IE,FF,Chrome? POE or DC power supply?
Also what is the Max temperature range you have seen? mine ranges from ~87 to 135+ degrees depending on sun loading and OAT.
Only upgraded FW once to 040418.
No SD. Have used SmartPSS and Pale Moon until just recently moved to BI.
Using BV-Tech poe injector and a DC power supply for a mic.
My temp ranges are similar to yours, max I’ve seen is about 135. In south Texas.
I would definitely try a different cat cable just to make sure before shipping back. Have read on here of a cable working with a fixed camera, but having issues when replacing with a PTZ.

Keep an eye on it for us @Waldo...I've tried a similar fix only to be disappointed after a long period of zero restarts. Please let us know what happens. thumbsup.gif

Maybe try asking a Ouija Board after that @Waldo...or consulting some tea leaves...or ask Mike's new Alexa! View attachment 37031
My point being that desperation reigns when one starts testing to determine if an NTP query is causing a camera crash. smiley5.gif

But what the heck, I'll give it a try...why not...I've tried nearly everything else...twice. smiley17.gif
