I'm having a problem with my USB camera. I need it because I don't have a lot of money to blow on a nice dahua IP cam. Furthermore it alerts me globally if my smoke detector beeps. Anyhow I wish I could post a picture (no host) but my video feed from that camera is shifted line by line. The overall effect is interlacing. It is interlaced in a way, not the classical 2-field system, but instead a horizontal offset of 400 or so pixels alternatively plus/minus between each line. The camera failed a week ago, I took it offline then 4 days ago but it on BI3 on an older PC and it worked fine. Back on here it works... but the video issue makes it nearly useless. It seems it doesn't know how wide to make the frame for each line. Anyone experience this?

Hmmm. I isolated the cause. Rotate. I kinda want to use that rotate feature but it screws up the video, only 0 and 180 look okay.

Actaully 0 and 180 ARE the same. It doesn't rotate this feed. Other rotate fine.

SOLVED. I just rotated the damn camera itself. It's in a wire holder in upper corner of hallway, ugly but highly flexible.
