VDPConfig asks me what do I want to upgrade: Main program or MCU program. What shall I choose? The version of the firmware on my Doorbell is 3.2

Well, I am trying to upgrade via VDP config, and I am getting the following "Config result: Login over time"

Later edit: Haha, I had the wrong password :). Gotta love these error messages!

@riogrande75 Did you manage to solve the "early media" problem? Are you now able to see live video when somebody presses the ring button?

No, so far not. Off course the sip client has to support that. Maybe I will get some traces of a VTO+VTH SIP installation, then I know more.

@riogrande75 how do you plan on getting those traces? I have full control over the Trixbox/Freepbx/asterisk system. Not so much of the VTO, nor do I know how.

Is there anywhere a user manual for the WebService 2.0. I have no clue what in the network settings "Active Reg." does ...

I will hopefully get the traces from another user, who owns both: a VTO and a VTH.
I am afraid, there is no manual (as usual). It's easy to get developers (coders), but hard to get them to create manuals for their programmings.
I did not try it by myself, but I guess "Active Reg." means active sip registrations on the local sip server. So if you register you VTH sip at the VTO's sip server, you should have a entry for it there.

Ahhhhhh, now I get it. That would be how the VTO would distinguish a VTH from a normal SIP client (say a SIP phone). But that would also imply that one can connect one single VTH to the VTO ...

Later edit: but that would also mean that, perhaps, the VTO may transmit the images directly to the VTH, rather than through SIP.

I have a VTH1660ch with VTO2000a and have few questions if someone can suggest something.

1. Can I disable sounds like leave message or door is unlock or the message when you press bell.

2. I have a Dahua NVR and have setup my cameras on the VTH but I can only display one camera at time, is there a way to display how I have it on TV?

3. Can I have the VTO recording to the NVR all the time or when someone press the bell?

For question 1. If you have V4, then yes, you can. Local Settings --> Video & Audio. There is a group entitled: Audio Control. The setting that controls the sounds is: Voice Prompt Sound. Select Disabled.

Q2: if you played in gDMSS/iDMSS, you could have noticed a Channel0 (which is actually a mosaic of all the activated channels). However the resolution of that stream is too high for the VTH to display (max resolution is D1), so it cannot show it. If you would re-encode that channel (through another pc) it could potentially work, but you wouldn't see anything on your VTH screen due to initinyminy resolution per matrix frame
Q3: if you configure your NVR to "24/7 record only", that should work. Pressing button nor motion detection events can be sent from VTO to NVR to "start recording". If you look at the results of "search device" on your NVR, you should already see your VTO there.

Hi again,

Am i right i need to upgrade to sip version VTO to have options to disable voice. If yes do i also need to upgrade VTH to sip version too? I currently have my VTH on V4 but not sip version and VTO is v3.

i have installed sip version of firmware now but how do i setup VTH on it as currently my VTP is unable to talk to VTH, i have also upgraded VTH to sip version.

OK i went back to non sip firmware on VTH and downgraded VTO to below version which has the option to disable voice.

General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_V3.120.0000.0.R.20180613

More issues trying to get IDMSS plus working. I am getting push notifications but seeing two odd things.

1. I am using IOS - so i get a notification on app but when i view it, it is answering call same time - i would like to see who it is before answering, anyone had similar issues?

2. When the call has been answered using VTH it is still ringing on the IDMSS.

I can confirm number 2. Same for me, although in my case it is SIP calls and iDMSS, but does not happen all the time.

OK i have managed to get No 2. resolved. I added both my VTH and VTO under doors in IDMSS.

No 1. If i am already on the app i get option to press red or green which is good but if i am not on the app and click on the alert it automatically answers it, hoping it went to the app with red and green options.
