Hi all,

I just bought the VTO2000A and VTH1550CH set and trying to get it running. The point I'm stuck with I suppose is adding the master VTH to VTO setup through Web Service. All manuals and videos I've found are based on some other (previous?) web service where you just add VTH in Indoor Manager, but the Web Service 2.0 I'm getting has different menus. Under Household Setting I see "VTO No. Management" and "Room No. Management" but in both I don't see any records and clicking the "Add" button doesn't bring any window to fill in details... Did any of you encounter such problem?

From the VTH itself I added the VTO and it's visible with green icon in settings, but the general icon on home screen says about VTO connectivity problem and the door monitor doesn't work.
Hello @tomczyslaw from Poland! I also had difficulties setting up the VTH & VTO in the "correct" order. I haven't updated my VTO to Webservices 2.0, but what happens if you try my chapter 5 (cfr first post):

CHAPTER 5: Configuration
As my second VTO would conflict with the first VTO, I tried my configuration first with 1 VTO and 1 VTH, in the OOTB subnet. So first thing to do, is to configure the VTO on the VTH. Press "Project Settings" on the VTH, and you are prompted for a password. Apparently, depending on which version, you have to choose between 012345, 123456, 002236 or 888888. In my case, it was the latter. Verify the network settings (under <>NET), and press "search devices". It will scan the subnet and find the "defaulted" VTO. Press "ADD" and it receives a green icon. That was easy!
Press the ring button, and you'll get immediate video screen on the VTH with the option to hang up, or pick up. Sound & video are OK for a doorbell.

If you start playing in the webservices, the VTH might not be able to pick up everything. So I suggest to factory reset your VTO (take it out of the alumuniium casing and press the "anti-theft" button five times - yes it will chirp, but you'll hear a distinct double beep when reset is OK). Best to do the VTH too, so it gets the default IP addresses (109 & 110). Then power up VTH and VTO, let them run for a minute or two. Then go into settings on your VTH and let him "search" for the VTO. If all goes well, you fire up VDPConfig to change all ip's to the range you want, and all door stations & video numbers will remain OK.

Please report when successful for later reference for others to help.

Thanks!

Hey together,
I have a similar issue like tomczyslaw, but my advantage is that my VTH is detecting/accessing the VTO (means I'm able to see the camera picture and can open the door). But the other way around is not working, which means that if you ring, no sound is being forwarded from VTO to VTH.

I updated VTO to V4.000.0000 (General_VTOXXX_Eng_P_16M_SIP_V4.000.0000000.5.R.20181030) and VTH to V4.300.0000 (General_VTH151X_Eng_SIP_V4.300.0000000.5.R.20181024)

The main difference as stated from tomczyslaw is, that you have to use web service 2.0 to configure your VTO. Unfortunately, I can not find the Indoor Manager like in web service 1.0, so I do not know how to add the VTH's.

Does someone help to set up VTO2000a with web service 2.0?

Thanks and best regards!

For the first, there are many reports that the out-of-the-box configuration on VTO has "Group Call" activated (is under lan config in WS1.0) - untick that box, reboot VTO and off you go.
Keep in mind that you have loaded the SIP firmware, you should properly setup SIP before your VTH will ring.

Unfortunately no luck this evening. I had no problems to factory reset VTH (from screen menu) but when I press 5 times that anti-theft button I just hear single beep and nothing seems to change. The search option on VTH is finding it wit no problems (with green icon) only with the IP I had assigned through Web Service 2.0, so I guess it didn't really reset.

Hi @catcamstar

I have a strange issue and just wondering whether you seeing the same, if not if you or anyone got any ideas?

I installed my monitor, door bell today and got it working so when someone does press the bell i get a live video on monitor and can also talk. But for someone reason i dont see any video when i go in the monitor section on the VTH under door, its just blank with timer going down and sometimes get failure to connect? I have played with all the video settings in VTO but no joy.

Connection is all fine as i get the video when i press the bell.

Any ideas anyone?

edit: running both sip versions now but same issue, must be something i am missing?

Thanks

Ciao Alberto,
vorrei cambiare i suoni del mio X-SECURITY XS-V2101E-IP che è il Dahua VTO2101E-P. rimarchiato.

Sei riuscito poi a modificare il firmware del tuo VTO?

ciao
Salvatore

Hi Alberto,
I would like to change the sounds of my X-SECURITY XS-V2101E-IP which is the Dahua VTO2101E-P. rebranded.

Did you then modify the firmware of your VTO?

best regards

Follow-up post #3:

Today, I applied the latest iDMSS Plus on my iOS devices, and hooray, the push notification (that were working) are coming through and I am able to "pick-up" the call with the VTO.

I'm still investigating how to apply the firmware on the VTH to fix the password length on adding an additional IPC.
Hi I think the best way is to go with IE to Your VTO settings and there you can find a column where you can add your IP Cameras (I think it's called remote devices or something, I don't have acces now)

Hi guys, I finally succeeded in adding my NVR to the VTH! It took some blood and sweat, but here's the trick:
- upgrade to firmware v4
- configure your subchannels to max H.264H and resolution D1 (704*576)
- press "add IPC", before adding ANYTHING, change IPC to NVR (otherwise it WILL NOT WORK), thén add ip, username, password and EXTRA (instead of MAIN) stream.

And poofff! Off you go!

Hope this helps anyone out to!

I can close my VTO/VTH installation booklet now, all is working as desired.

Very happy with this investment!

If you have more questions, do not hesitate to post here!

Always welcome for comments/remarks.

Many thanks catcamstar.

I was looking to do that and I have tried a long time. I was first stucked on the 6 digits password limitation.
I now managed to do it thanks to a lot of internet search and indeed finally finding your message !

It works perfectly now.

the VTO2000A when it's dark seems to have the LED where the name tag is. On for about 10 seconds, then it fades off and comes back on. Constantly cycling.
Does anyone know how to fix?

If I remember correctly, the name tag LED is "always-on" mode. Unless this thing is rebooting. As a test: try to run (commandline windows: ping -t ip.address.of.your.vto -- bash for linux: ping ip.address.of.your.vto) and see whether you have dropped packets. My guess you are going to see them.

What I would do if I was you: uninstall your VTO from the wall, connect the UTP cable and press the anti-hijack button 5 times until you hear (in between the siren) a distinct dual-beep. That means your VTO is back to defaults. Use dahua toolbox (vdpconfig) to search for the VTO (should be 192.168.1.9 if I'm not mistaken), and login. In between, re-run these ping tests. If it remains failing, you might have bad cabling (broken? twisted?) or worse: VTNS switch who gives not enough power (thus broken VTNS).

Good luck debuggin!

Hello @ikariwths! Welcome to IPCT!

So there are two possible integrations:
1) show NVR feeds onto the VTH screen
2) store VTO feeds onto the NVR

For both use cases, you simply connect the uplink of the VTNS to your network switch (where your NVR is located somewhere somehow. If all is in the same subnet/vlan, that is the easiest setup.

For case 1: on your VTH, press: Monitor - Add IPC. Then select NVR bottom right drop down list, and fill in all NVR information. Make sure you are not connecting to the FullHD streams, as a VTH is not able to show those.
For case 2: either use device finder (in the NVR) and let it search for your VTO "camera's". That is far most easiest option, OR, you "add" the VTO as a "private" camera. But in my experience, that is not the easiest way. Once the NVR discovers the VTO, follow "standard" procedure on doing 24/7 recording. Motion detection worked on an elder firmware, but that doesn't work anymore on my NVR, so I am recording 24/7 anyway.

If you run into questions, do not hesitate to come back!

Good luck,

works well when someone is ath the door and push the vto's button
i can not see the screen under monitor/door/main vto,but i can normaly see when i manually set the ip under monitor/ipc/vtoz
i have the same problem with the nvr it finds the vto but shows black screen.IMG_20200115_113644.jpgIMG_20200115_113647.jpgIMG_20200115_113714.jpgIMG_20200115_113708.jpgIMG_20200115_113651.jpgIMG_20200115_113658.jpg

OK, how did you ADD the VTO to the VTH? Did you configure the VTH in the VTO webservice or did you add them on the VTH? There are easy ways to accomplish this, and difficult. Many before you have succceeded, so what I suggest is factory reset ALL. Configure the VTO with the config tool, and THEN add one per one in the VTH. Follow my procedure a couple pages back on "how to reconnect" all bits and pieces. Try first with one VTO. If video playback does not work, you start over until it does work. Make sure all networking parts are OK (VTO & VTH on same VTNS switch, cabling is ok?) .

Report back when one VTO is fully working.

Good luck!

i hopped that it was just a network setting that i didnt find
I understand your frustration and pain, but I unfortunately also had to learn (by trial and error) that these devices are simply not made for plug&play. You have to follow some kind of sequencing or the VTH "locks" itself within the VTO and you'll loose features/connectivity. The easiest way is to reset to factory and start over until you get it right. With the earlier firmwares, it was even worse.

Good luck!

Hello Catcamstar,

Is the VTH able to show the feeds of dahua cameras that are connected to the network switch (considering connecting the VTNS to the network switch as you suggested) ? (I planned to use blue iris and not an NVR on my installation)

Thanks!
