I'm very excited to announce that IP Cam Talk is now offering branded cameras! After many months of testing we have come up with a line of cameras that are worthy of wearing the IPCT brand ;)

You may purchase the cameras directly from our Amazon Shop or from the IPCT Store.

They are all rebranded Hikvision, with our own firmware, model numbers, warranty, etc. The real deal. If you click each camera it will take you to the respective product page.

Since it's not listed in the product descriptions, none of them have built-in mics? Also, some don't specify the lens size.

They all have the lens size in the description, but I will add it to the key points up top, thank you. None of them have mics

Mike, can you clarify what the firmware differences are between yours and Hikvision?

Is the main benefit the discount on Blue Iris (as shown in the graphics) or what other benefits would you point out vs regular Hikvision?

Hi @john-ipvm, nice to hear from you! Sorry for the confusion, they are running Hikvision based firmware, except with our logo and model #'s. They are authentic Hikvision with international firmware that we are happy to offer at a discounted rate than most competitors and that we will always support. As we all know, Hikvision is not known for their support, but we are! We plan on offering everyone who purchases them support as well as well as a 3-year warranty.

@Mike Thanks! Makes sense.

One other question - If I read the IPCT forums correctly, a lot of members recommend Dahua models over Hikvision. Any thoughts on that? Will you perhaps OEM some Dahua models as well?

Dahuas are definitely hot right now and for good reasons, they are great cameras. However, Hikvision has a great reputation for being solid, well built and in a lot of cases easier to setup. Being that they are official Hikvision cameras with our branded serials and model #'s, we will be able to offer continuous and easy to access firmware updates and support. We are adding a "Night Eye" line of low-light Hikvisions in the near future and while there are not any immediate plans to re-brand Dahua, it's definitely something that I would be interested in.

Wow Mike, Brilliant Move for IP Camtalk, Will you be doing any marketing and show and tell videos to show the users here how the cams perform and the setup process? How can you go wrong with the support for the nu-bee end users.
EDIT---> Just saw your reply.

It seems to be a bit cyclical, a few years ago Hikvision was recommended much more frequently on the forum.
I know Hikvision's "5 Series" support browser viewing without plugins but suspect these don't yet.
What's the state of plugin-free viewing of these cameras?

I can tell you this with high confidence, The security market for DYI and homeowners and small business is expanding, I cannot tell you how many people I work with, friends, neighbors and my IT clients are always asking or probing me about security systems. What business I have lost in the IT world to cloud servers has definitely made up with security systems. I think you guys will do very well.

Thank you. Hikvision is the most popular and widely used camera in the world, but their customer service and update accessibility is sub-par, that's what inspired me to do this. I figured we can bridge the gap between their reliable hardware and awful custom service by offering both the hardware and customer service.

And they do need a lot of hand holding for sure, that is kinda what I have been doing, Im not licensed in NY to install but what I do is have the business or homeowner purchase their own hardware, Depending on the cable runs sometimes I will do it or get my retired verizon guy to blast it out for me and then I will tie it together and do the configuration and support for them and they could not be happier.
